The hotel is much more remote than we realized and is very difficult to access without a car, however, without much knowledge of the area, navigating the mountain roads might have been difficult. Nobody on the staff speaks much English or any language other than Turkish, and they cater to a Turkish clientele, making non-Turkish guests feel even more remote. They do not offer advice on the area or activities other than sitting on the beach. Because of the remoteness, one is restricted to eating at the pricey restaurant which is oddly unaffiliated with the hotel. Despite language barriers, staff is very nice, it's a small hotel with really good breakfasts, and a lovely (though somewhat rocky) beach and view. Our air conditioner in the room didn't work very well which made it pretty uncomfortable. Rooms are clean but otherwise pretty average and thus overpriced.

Villa Florya is wonderfully situated in Kumlubük perched upon a nice rock formation above the beach. Each room has a commanding view of the sea and beach (not to mention all of the Blue Cruise boats that visit the cove daily). Rooms are simple but well done with quality materials. Each also a has a beautiful balcony or terrace. Our favorite has been rooms 11 and 12. This place can be very quiet and serene will help you getaway from the hub-hub of the city.

Some watch-outs if you are the kind to nitpick. Getting there involves driving on a curvy mountain road for 30 minutes. The sea can be cold at times. The boats can get noisy during their lunch stop. The good news is that the hotel will pick you up if you'd like. The sea is very very clean and without any real waves. You can close your room door and take a short nap until the boats go away. Rooms are air-conditioned and quiet.

Take a side trip to the Hollandalı Restaurant about 1 mile West. Great place and good food. Do not wear any perfume to it though to avoid nuisance bugs (which do not bite or sting).

Villa Florya is a small boutique hotel located in Kumlubük in the Turunç region of Marmaris.

The restaurant of the hotel is outsourced to another hotel's owner, Dionysos Hotel which is situated near the Villa Florya.

The restaurant was excellent. Food, waiters, atmosphere, very romantic. Excellent food and wines.

The seaside is also excellent with a small shore. You can enjoy the wonderful view of Kumlubük. There is also another marvellous bay called Amos very near.

We really enjoyed our stay.
