We stayed here for about a week - parents had booked a villa for us all the other week - its is still in bad need of a face lift - and the furniture wasn't great - espcially sofa bed however location good - 5 mins to beach and main street and could use Oz-can hotel beach - and size of rooms ok and air con in bed rooom and the staff were very friendly and helpful - that said if it was the only place I was staying Turnunc I would not have been happy - I booked it because of location and also flights left from airport near us

The Ozcan apartments in Turunc were very clean, very spacious and comfortable and more than ample for our 2 week stay. I hadn't written a review on our return but on seeing the negative review here I had to write one to say how wrong they were!

Of course it's each to your own but clearly that person had exceptionally high expectations given that Turunc is a developing tourist area which just over a couple of years ago was only accessible by boat. I would imagine having delays while drying your hair isn't the first thing that concerns the locals when the power goes out.

Yes the power goes out occassionally so maybe if you don't want your hair drying delayed or if you couldn't face having your favourite tv programme interrupted then Turunc isn't for you. Also if you want a kitchen with all mod cons I think you're asking a bit much - we managed to make several meals while we stayed here with little difficulty although the price of food in the shops means its not really worth it - you might as well eat out rather than make the effort which works for me.

Turunc is almost idyllic - with the tourist shops, bars etc. slowly moving in but it is still early days so has that air of unspoilt which is a million miles from Marmaris over the bay. If you want your brit bars and your 24 hour only fools and horses then this is not the place for you. But if you want a beautiful almost unspoilt place which still retains most of its original Turkish character and appeal with bars and restaurants within easy reach then this is it.

Two weeks of pure bliss - the only thing we regretted was going on any trips away from Turunc. We're returning in just over a week and we've already decided we won't be tempted to move from the village during our stay. Can't wait.

My girlfriend and I recently stayed in the Ozcan Apartments (self catering) in the Turkish resort of Turunc for 1 week.

Positives
+ The apartments are well located in the resort of Turunc on a quiet side street 3 mins walk to both resort centre and Beach.
+ The staff were polite and helpful.

Negatives
- Whilst being clean, the apartments were in desperate need of a face lift.
- The kitchen facilities were a little grubby and didn't tempt us to use them to prepare anything more than a sandwich.
- The absence of a backup generator meant that there was no electricity during Turunc's (rather frequent) power cuts. My other half found this extremely frustrating when attempting to dry her hair!!

Overall
We enjoyed our stay in the resort but didn't really feel comfortable spending more time than necessary in the apartment. My girlfriends family were staying in the Gozdem II Apartments down the road. I would choose these next time. Newer, cleaner and a similar price.
