Snow amazing ,Santa amazing ,food great ,wine great , sledging late at night on the slopes the best! My family really enjoyed this holiday we stayed for 3 nights in the search for santa , who was everything you imagined he would be . Great fun doing the activities during the day and in the eveningswe enjoyed a relaxing evening meal and then using the toboggens for a couple of hours after that till our hearts where content. the resort is breathtakingly beautiful .
As previous review said they provided us with boots, gloves,hats, full trousers and jackets which were really great we did not need to have brought so much outer clothing with us .
We did one excursion that is seperate to Canterbury travels and were not impressed , it was the reindeer ride at night , and very expensive as it was no differnt to what canterbury travels provide , ( it did say reindeer bells but none in sight so a complete let down ) but this was seperate to canterbury travels.
It is hard going as you need to make the most of the time you are out there so early starts and late nights but well worth it ,really pleased we went

We have just returned from a 3-day trip in search of Santa, booked through Canterbury Tales travel agents. We arrived on Sunday evening to a log cabin/bungalow around 200 meters uphill of the main hotel complex. The hotel comprises 2 detached restuarants, a ski slope and a reception/winter clothing depot. There are tobaggons stored in external boxes, which the kids (and me!!) used to sled around the snow laden complex and even have a sled down the ski slope in the evening. The log cabins were roasting and had central heating, real log fires and a sauna. All clothing for the trip was loaned free as part of the package and proved very cosy on the 2 day hunt for Santa in the woods and over the frozen lakes. There was plenty of huskies, reindeer, skidoo and sleging to be had before we finally found Santa. It was magical and the snow was so deep it was like going to Narnia!! Our family (mum,dad and 2 girls aged 4 and 7) loved the experience. There were 4 lessons to be passed on. 1. We brought lots of ski type clothes which were provided free on site so we wasted a few quid.2. Its dark all day except for grey light (twilight) between 10am and 2pm. 3. You have to get up early to find Santa (5.30 am for a 6am breakfast and a 6.30 am bus (however they are 2 hours ahead so its really a 3.30 am start!! 4. Cheap hotel wine is €40 per bottle, so wrap up a bottle to keep it warm and bring a corkscrew. Temp was -3 to -10 celcius but they really wrap you up warm. All in all it was a magical experience which we will remember and cherish forever.

we stay in olos for1 nights in dec.07 and it was just perfect.i booked a log cabin which was first class,it was about a 3 min.walk from the main hotel and was so quite in the night time.i talked to other guests and they said the same about the hotel itself.the whole setting is just perfect snow covered landscape christmas lights everywhere.the food was fine,the service good but i would urge anyone staying there to book a cabin and enjoy this little piece of heaven,my kids talk about this trip everyday and it a trip will never forget.thanks to all in olos hotel and someday we may meet again,on behalf of my family i say thank u for making our christmas dreams come true and dream of someday returning to your hotel and snowy olos .....thanks again N.T.SBT.D.T L.T B.T. xxxx
