My colleagues and I stayed in this hotel for a night in early September before starting our monster hike up the Swiss mountains of Zinal. The hotel staff was friendly even though some of the tenants were not. We were having a last glass of wine in one of the meeting areas on the floor and at 10pm one of the guests stormed out of his room and went directly to the reception to complain that we were being noisy (which by the way we were not, just normal people having normal quiet conversations). The receptionist came up and politely told us that this was an older hotel and that the sound proofing is not the same as in other hotels. We took her comments into account and finished our glass of wine and head off to bed. The room was nicely warm and the shower had ample pressure. The only negative point about this hotel was the breakfast the next morning. Nothing warm, only cold breakfast. And it seemed that it wasn't really a "buffet" style as things food was running out and it wasn't replaced. Despite this, I would highly recommend this hotel if you were to stay in ZInal, a lovely area indeed!
