While the hotel is clean and comfortable, it has about as much charm as your typical Best Western. We did demi-pension and the food was mediocre. This would not have been bad, except that just across the street were 3 charming hotels in the regional style (Hotel de la Poste, Hotel Trisp and another I can't remember the name of). We ate dinner at Hotel Trisk and it was delicious, with a wonderful atmosphere of old beams, stone walls and some very hip music.

If it's important to you to have a TV, a minibar and a telephone in your room then this hotel qualifies. If you'd prefer charm and a more authentically Swiss experience., go across the street.

Stayed for one night last September on a walking journey, having stayed once before. The building is modern and lacks character but our room was comfortable, the staff helpful and the food - including vegetarian choices - excellent. Zinal itself is also rather lacking in character but has good facilities and is on both the walkers' Haute Route and the tour of the beautiful and interesting Val d'Anniviers.

After a wet walk (it sometimes rains/snows there in summer), it was good to find the hotel right at the junction of the walking routes,
and close to the cable car station.
Food was good and plentiful (we were offered second helpings during dinner).
The bar alongside the restaurant had a good offer on the local wine.

Very quiet, picturesque place with a lovely staff. No doubt you will meet the warm Bonnard family and Chef Remy, always smiling, who turns out delicious dinners in a lovely setting. Our room was typical Swiss, pine accents, comfy beds with duvets and nice views from the balcony of the gorgeous landscapes. Zinal is tiny, but it has great hiking and exploring areas all around. This is a place where you'll be treated well and where you'l feel relaxed and enjoy authentic Swiss hospitality!
