We've been to Mountain View 4 times now in successive years.
That in itself speaks volumes I think?
Inevitably over a period of time small things can arise in any Hotel. The secret is dealing with them , rather than letting them become big issues.
Mountain View has been running for some years and some of the fixtures and facilities became a little tired. Wonderfully clean Hotel, good service and lovely people. Staff and Guests !
They've taken the initiative and the areas needing attention have begun getting them. Not a major refurbishment that interferes with Holidays but bit by bit .
The weather was much hotter this year ( 1st 2 weeks of September ) but still very pleasant and we had a great time.
So many of the Guests return year after year that it is pleasant to know that there will always be a familiar face - our own included now I suppose?

A good combination of pleasant location, excellent facilities and caring Staff and Management.

And yes, we'll be back next year !

I'm not sure what hotel these lot have been to but after holidaying in Cyprus in June this year with my friend. I decided to book Mountain View hotel for a second time this year. I went with my partner, this time in September, after telling him what a great time we had, he wanted to try it out. The weather was absolutely perfect and we was not disappointed by the hotel at all. We felt so much at home, when you first walk in to the hotel you are greeted by a clean and trendy reception which leads out to the outside dining area with views of the mountains and pool. We had lovely romantic dinners by the pool side and enjoyed cooling of in the pool with the wonderful views and scenery around us.

The pool area is beautiful and there is always enough sunbeds for everyone and great service to. The owners were always extremely helpful and so welcoming. Our room had a mountain and sea view which was absolutely stunning and our room was clean and comfortable. The owners also recommended eating in their restaurant 'Cine Miles' , its in the town of Kyrenia and in a good location, the food was lovely, a great price and it had an excellent atmosphere. After dinner, we was able to stroll down to the harbour a romantic strip of bars along side an historic harbour, with views of the Kyrenia castle. It really is beautiful.

The hotel is in a great location, close to some lovely beaches, the beautiful town Kyrenia and castles. I definitely recommend the St. Hilarion castle, this castle was used to base the Walt Disney castle, its a bit of a walk with lots of stairs to climb but it is very worth it, you can see a lot of the Island from the very top its an amazing site. After days out on the beach and visiting the local sites, it was always lovely coming back to the hotel to chill out in the evenings, where we had some lovely dinners in their outside dinning area.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a relaxing, clean, and welcoming place to stay whilst visiting North Cyprus. My partner and I will definitely be going back for another visit and would like to thank the owners and staff for making our holiday one to remember.

If you are looking for a mad loud partying hotel then this isnt the place for you!
Had a lovely room that faced the beautiful 5 finger mountains. It was lovey,peaceful and i never had to get up early to fight for sunbeds.

My partner and I has a such a good time and will be returning next september.

My husband and I and our daughter and her boyfriend all stayed at the above Hotel in the last two weeks. We booked the Hotel because of all the positive reviews we had read.  Imagine then our huge disappointment to arrive at the Hotel (which did not even have its name written on the side) and find very very basic rooms, beds with very uncomfortable mattresses, pillows that were soiled but covered with clean pillow slips and a very down market appeal.  I sms'd my daughter who was travelling out the next day to warn her about what she was going to encounter.  I had to complain about the rugs in our rooms and I do have to say that these were replaced by new ones but really I should not have had to ask.  They were filthy dirty.  The bathroom was only just adequate and everything seemed to be just hanging on a thread.  How people can review this Hotel in a positive light is honestly way beyond me and I have to advise others who may want to book to really find somewhere else.  It is booked as a 3 Star and I appreciate that but surely even a 3 star Hotel should be clean and have decent food.  I could not eat any breakfast except for the fruit salad.  It was awful and every day it was the same.  Some kind of chopped up sausage and egg with beans.  I realised that this Hotel though seems to cater for the elderly Brits who just want to bake by the pool, get lobster red and drink and don't even seem to want to see the sights.  The staff were helpful at times but mostly if one asked for a pool towel it either took most of the morning to get it or it didn't come at all.  Time and time again we asked for things which took forever to arrive.  Worst of all was the laundry.  Two days before we had to leave the Hotel I took some laundry to the front desk.  At lunchtime that day the laundry was still there.  I mentioned it to the front desk who then removed it.  By 6.00pm, the following evening the laundry was not back.  As we were leaving the next day I kept asking where it was. Finally it arrived at around 9.00pm, still wet and just thrown in a bag!!!!!!!  Oh no, this will not do!!  We were glad to check out, very upset at such a nasty place to stay and cannot understand the positive comments from others - I know some people come back year in and year out but if you are a person who likes and expects quality this Hotel is not for you.  I cannot comment enough of what a down trodden place it is and seems really to cater for people who clearly don't expect very much.  Once again, yes I know it is a 3 Star - but it was only the reviews that made us book the Hotel and these reviews for us totally a waste of time and also for Tripadvisor whom I really enjoy  usually.  It is better to tell the truth about a place because it affects so many people.  Thank you for affording me the opportunity to review the Hotel
