“Wonderful Honeymoon”

Me and my husband stayed here in august 2011 for one week, two days after our wedding. when we arrived we were taken by the relations manager to our room with a view. and what a view it was! our bed was trickled in rose petals, as was a path leading to it. there was complimentary bubbly, fruit and nuts and flowers which was a lovely touch. the room was light and airy with a bathroom with a difference. the sunken bath was perfect to soak in whilst watching the sunsets but the glass wall that divides the bedroom and bathroom may not be everyones cup of tea.
we were on the all inclusive option which we were glad of as they bar prices were not cheap so we more than made up for this!
the hotel layout and pool was stunning. the private beach was lovely but very stoney so we stuck to the pool all week which was heaven!
the food was lush but we did treat ourselves to room service one night to have a more romantic meal. this was pricey at approx 100 euros for two courses each and no drink - we had the complimentary bottle but well worth it. we ate on the balcony at sunset and they set our table full silver service which was a nice touch. on our 'one week anniversary' of our marriage, we had a complimentary meal in the a la carte restaurant which was also a nice change and beautifully cooked.
you can get a coach in to corfu town which was 10 euros each which was good to explore one morning but got far too hot.
we booked an excursion via thomson and did a pony trek through the hills which was a great experience and a worthy business.
we would definately recommend the rooftop spa. we had a couples massage which was full body and both fell asleep after a hectic few days previous. the girls there were amazing!
over all we loved the hotel and they made us feel very special and relaxed for our special holiday. a perfect setting for couples.

“Relaxing Holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

My partner and I stayed at Eva Palace in October. Service on arrival was good. Room was fab - balcony view was sensational. Not sure if the glass wall partitioning the bedroom and bathroom is to everyones cup of tea, however I see the logic behind it. All amenities in the room were good, everything you need. Pool was fresh to say the least, perhaps a little too fresh for my liking, the sea was far warmer! Being on a half board basis, we found the pool bar food to be pricey and didn't eat there often as a result! Yes, the wasps were a nuisence, but I completley understand this is through no fault of the hotel. Restaurant food was good - if a bit predictable by the end of the week. On booking the holiday we were fully aware of the adults only status, however being a young couple found it extremley daunting on arrival. Everyone did stare at us and we found ourselves summoned to our room after dinner each evening, playing cards and drinking on the balcony!! With no other amenities close by, this is perhaps the one of the few faults I can find with our holiday to Corfu. We took two trips in to the town one by bus and one by taxi. Although the bus is substantionally cheaper, if you dont fancy being packed in like sardines, I wouldn't reccomend it. We used the hotels taxi service which picked us up outside the hotel and we arranged a time and place for him to bring us back - no problem! A visit in to the town is highly recommended by ourselves. Lots to see and lots of knick knacks to buy!
We took out a jet ski, pedal boat and went paragliding? All fantastic, can fully appreciate the beautiful surroundings from up in the air.
Overall, if you're a mature couple looking for a chilled holiday, where you don't want to leave the hotel complex, this location is perfect for you. However, if you're a young couple like ourselves who want a relaxed holiday, without feeling like zoo animals, I doubt this is the place for you. There are no regrets with visiting Eva Palace, but indeed I feel we went to a place that was perhaps a little too ahead of our time!

“Lovely Hotel, Go for the Premium Plus package!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011

We went to Corfu in May for a weeks holiday. We couldn't find a fault with this hotel & was glad we went for the premium package as drinks are very expensive. The food is fine my only fault would be that there wasn't much choice. The staff were all friendly and helpful, Fannis one of the waiters was always smiling and friendly. The pool area was clean with plenty of sunbeds, unfortunately the beach is a bit of a let down.

My father had an operation prior to our departure which impaired his mobility, I informing the hotel of this and asked if we could please have rooms near to all the amenities. On our arrival we were very grateful to hear that we had all been upgraded to bungalows, I think you will agree that this was very thoughtful and rare! I doubt you would receive this kind of service at many hotels.

Overall I think that this is a lovely hotel for a relaxing weeks break, If you're looking for a lively resort then you should think again as there isn't much around.

Room Tip: Drinks are expensive, definitely go for the Premium Plus Package.

“Wonderful Food and Friendly Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2011

The Hotel is in a lovely Bay, our room was not in the main hotel itself but in some individual bungalow type rooms on the next level down of the complex. The room was very small and basic, and unfortunately we didn't have the best view from our balcony - view obscured by a lovely Olive Tree, but the staff arranged to move us next door almost immediately (again small basic room but very clean).

The complex is lovely, the lower level of bungalows have their own swimming pools (assumed to be honeymoon suites) - Great Swimming areas and restaurants, the Complex also has its own private beach (although quite small and sunbeds a little dated). The main restaurant served a variety of buffet style food, the quality is out-standing! Our package also included lunch at the pool bar. There were another 3 a la carte restaurants to choose from too.

I would recommend a stay there, its a wonderful place, relaxed, chilled and you will feel very looked after. Try the watermelon cocktails at lunch - very nice!

Room Tip: You might want to check out the rooms in the main hotel as they might have a bit more space.

“Can't fault the Hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 October 2011

We had read some bad/negative reviews of this place before we came, but when we got there we were very pleasantly suprised!

Posotives:
The views are amazing!
The rooms/bathrooms are spotless with a good safe and a fridge.
The food is diverse and of good quality. (try the greek yougurt and honey!)
The staff our all very friendly and helpful.
There is no pressure to do any activities.
The pool area is very clean and the sunbeds are very comfy!

Slight criticisms:
The pool bar is not a swim up bar.
The drinks prices are very high.
The pillows in the room are not comfy, too flimsy.

Yes there are wasps, but just take some wasp spray to keep them away.

There is the No.7 bus on the main road (20min walk away) which goes into Corfu town for about 2Euro. (25min bus ride). Where as the taxi is 23Euro one way!

Definately go all inclusive...if you have booked a half board, dont worry, you can upgrade when you are there for 28 Euro p/p p/d (which is worth it considering some drinks are 10 Euro).

Room Tip: Room 95 (garden bungalow) has amazing views and is a nice distance from the pool and restaurant, but...
