Fantastic B and B if you are planning a trip through France and like us need a half way stop over. Kathy & Martin share their wonderful home and offer a great place to stay. Warmly treated to a special hello from their dog Ruby on arrival. Great rooms, with really comfortable beds, beautifully decorated. Do take the chance to stay for dinner. Kathy offers a wonderful menu which she cooks herself. My husband is a vegetarian and loved the dishes specially prepared for him. Martin ensures that your glass is never empty with a great choice of wine and he has grown many of the veggies served up on your plate!

Now a firm favourite of ours and would certainly highly recommend Le Canard.

We stayed here after a days driving from Dover and what a treat it was. We were exhausted but our host, Martin and Kathy were incredibly welcoming and we immediately relaxed with a large pot of tea. This B & B is a gem. We were fed a fantastic four course evening dinner along with other guests and the wine and conversation both flowed freely. Both Martin and Kathy do an amazing job. This overnight stopover really made difference and got our holiday off to a brilliant start. We are so grateful to them.

OK - we partly picked it because of the quirky name, but we really felt we hit the jackpot on meeting Kathy and Martin. Their kind of hospitality and the lovely home they own is the reason we choose B&Bs. What can be nicer than being greeted cordially at the door in spite of arriving much earlier than expected, enjoying Kathy's delicious meals (we stayed two nights on our way down to the south of France) and the company of others doing the same round the dinner table.

We sincerely hope to meet you again next year, Kathy and Martin, but this time we hope to bring our daughter plus family with us to enjoy your comfortable home and garden, and of course, Ruby.

On our arrival we were treated to a warm welcome from Martin, Kathy and Ruby (the dog) and a welcome cup of tea. We stayed in the 'seaside' room it was small but beautiful! A soft plumpy bed and the room was decorated with great style!.
But 'Dinner' was amazing, Martin and kathy are great hosts I felt I had known them for years! the wine flowed and the food was excellent, cooked by Kathy and Martin. Us and the the other guests, twelve in all, including 3 kids/ had a great time, Kathy was great with them and knew just how to feed and amuse them (i.e. after dinner curled up on sofas watching a dvd with ice cream!!! while We had a good time. Supper was excellent. They work hard, and they have got it right!!!! We will be back for longer next time. Thankyou K&M Julie and `bernard. Your Home is beautiful
