Good hotel in a little city some half an hours drive from Helsinki airport.
Near a railroad station
Rooms and breakfast are average in quality, but everything is clean and the staff is nice and friendly.

Room was big and clean. Also bed's very good to sleep. We stayd 2 nights. Breakfast was delicious and lot's of to choose although we are very late of breakfast time.
Restaurant was Italian style. Also small gym was in basement and it was good.
Nothing negative

Slow but nice reception. Room really worn. Toilet smelled bad.

The food in the restaurant was in contrast amazingly good although not cheap.

Location good for Järvenpää, close to railway station and center. The house museum of Jean Sibelius is not far away.

Stayed at this hotel for a weekend on 06 August 2010. The hotel is the former Next Hotel Rivoli recently turned into Scandic. The big minus is that they didn’t make any renovation: they just change the signboard on the façade. So the rooms are old fashioned and worn. Furniture, lights, sanitary engineering, curtains, carpet are old and ramshackle. However our room was spacious and the bed was okay. There is heated towel rack in bathroom. There is no air-condition at the hotel. The hotel is located right opposite the train station that connects you to the centre of Helsinki. Wi-Fi Internet is free of charge.

Hotel features free sauna with a pool and bar. Sauna is large and well run. There is a small shop close to the reception with emergency foods like water, sandwiches and yogurts. My advise is to rent a bike (it is free of charge) and make a ride across the lake that is nearby.

The hotel restaurant is Casa Toscana. It is Italian restaurant with authentic decoration and ambience. The dinner was very good, we have nothing to complain about. The same I could tell about breakfast: it was plentiful and tasty. The kalitki (Finish savory pies) were extremely good.
