This is a lovely hotel, good value for money, but only suitable for travellers with cars. I usually travel by train, and did arrive in Aosta by train - it was a 12 Euro cab ride out to the hotel, which is really not at all in Aosta. However, I was joined by a friend with a car, and it is a great location if you have wheels, with a good view of the town of Aosta and the mountains. Our window faced the mountains, and the view was very picturesque.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful - they spoke French as well as Italian; not much English though. Good breakfast buffet, delicious coffee. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds. Not luxurious furnishings, but more than adequate for a couple of nights.

I've stayed in many hotels in the Aosta valley and this is probably the best for quality and value. Its a very Italian hotel, we were the only English people in the hotel and the staff did'nt speak much English. It's a very clean hotel and the restaurant serves local dishes at cheap prices. eg starter, pasta dish, main and wine all for 16 euros. Its not in Aosta as many maps suggest, its 2km out in a small affluent village called Pollein. Will stay here again.
