A friend in Devon with whom we stayed recently recommended the Cott Inn and no wonder! We were so impressed by the standard of both the food and the service that we ate there a second time in the same week and thoroughly enjoyed it on both occasions. The young staff are friendly and courteous and the dishes were very well executed and presented, with the desserts being perhaps the weaker items on the menu. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming. All in all, a very pleasurable experience.

We stayed in Totnes and read about the Cott Inn in a brochure. We went twice for a meal. The first time we had the last table in the bar. It was opposite the bar. A warm welcome from Mark. The local cider was lovely and strong. It was busy with locals and they took the time to chat to us. The food was excellent and very friendly staff. They asked us if we wanted more time between courses, because we really enjoyed our stay. Mark kept an eye on his staff and guests so that everything went smoothly. The second time it was very good again. Mark really takes an interest in his guests. At this moment the prices for people from the continent are very good. The portions were for us more than sufficiant. If we'll be in the area we'll certainly visit the Cott Inn again. Mark told us about refurbishing rooms, so maybe we'll go there for more than a meal.

We went here one evening while staying at Dartington Hall for a couple of nights. It's a beautiful building, full of character..................the gents is outside, like in the good old days! Lovely atmosphere, lovely food and I can really reccomend the place. At the time of our visit the accommodation part of the inn was closed for refurbishment, but if it's anything like the food then it'll be worth a stay in future, well we took some info and will look online in a few months to see if anything is available. 10/10

Clearly Charles Devon has too much time on his hands and has no right side to his bed! But enough about him, he's getting far too much publicity on here! We visited The Cott Inn on Sunday for lunch. The service was friendly and efficient, the atomosphere relaxed. The staff were very accomodating to our various requests and our order arrived exceptionally fast. The food was lovely, meat cooked to perfection, vegetables and trimmings very tasty. A great afternoon all in all, especially on such a rainy and miserable day!
