Don't go to Beni Mellal. There is nothing to do, and the scenery is really not worth the schlep. Unless its a really convenient stop-over on your way somewhere else, don't go there. If you must, you probably want to stay at Hotel Ouzoud -- not because its particularly nice, but for lack of other better options. The pool area is the best thing about the place. The rooms are fairly spacious and the beds are big. They are not all that nice or especially clean. The restaurant is ok. The air conditioning in the room doesn't really cool the room off at all.

“A Break between Fez and Marrakech”

A lovely place to take a cooling break if travelling from Fez to Marrakech. Friendly staff, a reasonable ding room and above all a swimming pool. Some of the fixtures and fittings are getting a little tired but it is certainly above average for the town and area.
