“Good time ...... but Brrrr”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Greeted by a really warm Welsh welcome. Reception staff were really good Our rooms were spotless, clean and comfortable.
The food though was a different story. Super tough lamb and Beef were served both nights. It was a cold week but at 10 15pm why was all the warm air removed by putting on extractors ?? No one seemed to be able to find out (or so we were told) the ballroom went so cold within a few minutes. That said I would highly recommend a stay here. Lovely place and certainly very lovely staff.

I have been using this hotel for 4 years and the staff and Managers are all so friendly. It is reasonable priced and the food is always very good, I request the same room every month and this is never a problem to them. As a woman tgravelling on her own it is great to have found a hotel that makes me feel so very welcome. Thanks to all the staff and keep up the great work you all do.

“A really friendly hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

I stayed at this hotel a night or two every week for 5 months in 2011. It quickly became my favourite home from home. The staff are really friendly and the food is always good, It is a bit faded but the friendliness of the staff more than makes up for that. I especially liked the cooked to order breakfast - no lukewarm containers of sausages here. I loved the beach front location and often went for a dip after work or a long walk along the gorgeous beach and it the weather wasn't good, used the pool, jacuzzi and sauna.

“Very Disappointing Christmas Avoid at all costs”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

This Hotel needs a lesson in having fun. The room was very damp for which I received a small refund but no refund for the disappointment we felt when NOTHING happened at all to make this a festive time. Had it not been for the 200 mile journey we would have left on Christmas Eve as there was no atmosphere at all. the taped music could only be heard in the changing rooms of the pool and after repeated requests for volume turn up we were told it si faulty speakers and they turned it off altogether. Lovely pool. Food was good for being mass produced but it would have been nice if we had the veg on the table to dig in for a bit more. Staff lovely but not clued up on organisation in the resturant and running around like headless chickens trying to please. The entertainment laid on in the evenings was good but would have been much better on christmas day when all were expecting something to happen - no - nothing and after dinner I asked if there was any quizzes etc or games we could play - nothing but to watch the constant 24 news being played on 2 large screens in the lounge area I then got told by the manager that most people go to bed !! This is definitley one to avoid if you are at all active and want some fun. This is more like a practice for a nursing home. It may be ok for a party night when an Abba tribute etc is playing but not to stay over at THE MOST FESTIVE TIME OF THE YEAR - the clue is in the words.

Room Tip: Dont go there unless you have to

“New Year Package 2011”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

Stayed for the three night new year package which was, not only fantastic, but was great value for money. Have stayed at this hotel for a long week-end break for about 10 years but the first time over a new year and regret not having done so sooner. The hotel manager Bryn and all his staff were always so friendly and efficient and, in one word, our stay there was GREAT
