The hotel is generally ok, most of the areas are well decorated but they charge you as much as a five star hotel in Paris.
The rooms are confortable, specially if you go to one of the suites, the bathrooms however are small and don't have the building quality you'll expect from a Mercure. There were some issues with the rooms, you can't regulate the air conditioning so if the hotel thinks it's "cold" (25°C/75°F) they'll turn on the heater, the furniture could also be better. There are no carpets.
The service is poor, very few kind personnel and generally with little training, the receptionists at the front desk are not well organized and get easily confused. The restaurant is ok, but I find it ridiculous to charge you $1 for hot water (to prepare tea for example) in most hotels of this category or superior that I've been give you that as courtesy. I find the parking a great problem, be sure to accompany the driver because they drive very badly, specially if they get Mercs and Audis.
Although the location is excellent, in front of the sea, close to several bars and restaurants, and near downtown; it does not justify its excessive price.
