We went to Les Andelys as a stop to visit Chateau Gaillard.
The hotel is in a lovely location on the banks of the Seine. However once we got inside the experience detiriorated.
The lady at the reception desk was cold and unhelpful, and as we arrived she wanted to know whether we were going to eat in the restaurant. As we weren't offered a menu to look at we said we would make our minds up later. We were then asked to make our minds up in 10 minutes, a full 3 hours before the dinner service started. This seemed a bit unreasonable so we declined that and also their offer of breakfast.
We were then shown to our room which was in a poor condition, with cigarette burns and had not be decorated/refreshed for many years. The television was very old with a non working remote. The noise from the flat below was also very loud in the evening.
The cost of the room was 61 euros, which was very overpriced.
