This is a basic, relatively clean motel, complete with sliding doors out to a patch of grass with picnic tables. As of our visit, some of these tables were broken, albeit usable with care. The inn is dog-friendly (caveat: no dogs allowed on furniture, so we recommend a large blanket or something similar "just in case") with a $10 pet deposit. The rooms themselves are clean, not very large but with the requisite bed (or 2 beds, in our case), desk, cable tv, free wi-fi (which we really appreciated), plus a proper mini fridge and microwave. The bathroom needs to be updated, but again was clean, neat and stocked.
A word to those who have tobacco allergies: we were in a non-smoking room, but our room still smelled of cigarette smoke. Whether this was because of ventilation issues or ongoing renovations/repairs, we don't know. We did get used to it after a while, but it's something to note.
The owners/staff were quite friendly and helpful. The inn itself is within easy walking distance of downtown Elora, and you needn't even wander that far for takeout, as there's a Chinese restaurant and a pizza place right next door.
Overall, quite a pleasant experience, and we'll definitely stay there again if we're in the area.
