“Best Medium Budget Resort....Nice Rooms....Good Food....Decent Service.”

Visited Bandhavgrah National Park from 19-01-2012 thru 22-01-2012. Travelled with family and family of a friend. The kids were accomodated free at Nature Heritage Resort (both below 12 yrs of age). The bookings of Safaris and railway transfers from/to Katni railway station were as promised. The Rooms were large, clean, good beddings. Bathrooms were large with running hot/cold water. It was freezing cold outside but we were provided with heaters in each of our rooms at no xtra cost. Were greeted very warmly by the management and the staff was pretty co-operative as well as informative. After each and every of our six safaris we were serviced with hot towels at the entrance of the resort. The staff took xtra care in chilling morning safaris to provide us with blankets to cover ourselves.

The food provided was good to taste. Early tea/coffee with biscuits at 5.00 am before morning safari. Full course breakfast and tea/coffee at 10.30 am after morning safari was a major highlight of the service of this resort. Lunch was sharp on time at 1.00pm with a vivid variety of desi and international cuisine. A special mention of Udad Dall curry. Freshly cut salad with medium spicy sabzis and soft chappatti and rotis made us all very satisfied. Bonfire Tea/coffee/bar drinks after afternoon safari refreshed us a lot before we could have Dinner at 8.30 pm. A special mention to Carrot Kheer as dessert. The interactive sessions after dinner about the days safaris and experiences was a keen attention taken care by management.

Yes we also spotted Bamera Male tiger-the dominant tiger of the TALA zone thanks to our guide Anil.

Unfortunately there is no activity or play area for kids which can be excused....

Would definitely recommend Nature Heritage Resort to others and would also come back again here....

Room Tip: The Resort is a stone's throw away from the Tala gate. It certainly helps when you have to reach...

“Very Bad experience at Nature Heritage Resort, Bandhavgarh”

We had stayed for two nights i.e on the nights of 30 and 31 Dec. 2011 at the resort. Overall it was bad food, bad service and bad behaviour of the staff(especially the Manager Mr Bunty). Please note the following points of complaint-

1. Though we had taken the AP Plan, drinking water was not provided intentionally with lunch/dinner. When water was asked, it was charged at Rs 40 per litre/bottle.

2. Though we were informed about the pick up charges from Umaria to the resort @Rs 900 at the time of booking, we were charged Rs 1,000.

3. No tea was served to us in the cottage when we asked at 4.30 p.m. . We were advised to wait till 6 p.m for tea to be served in the restaurant.

4. Food quality was extremely poor including Tea which was railway station quality.

5. The behaviour of the Manager(Mr Bunty) was such as he was serving us out of charity. Professionalism and service attitude which is required in the Hospitality industry was totally absent.

Room Tip: Never visit this resort ever in Bandhavgarh.

“Reasonably priced, great staff and great food.”

If you are planning to go on safari game drives in Bandhavgarh National Park, consider staying at Nature Heritage Resort. It is very reasonably priced, the staff speak relatively good English, the service is great, they have free internet access, the rooms are comfortable. They certainly aren't "high end", but they are comfortable and clean and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed there for five days and went on two game drives per day. The bellmen woke us up every morning and brought coffee and cookies to our room every morning, then helped us with our camera gear to and from the safari jeeps daily. The food was great, the staff were great, the cost of the hotel was very reasonable. I will definitely be back.

“A wonderful resort in beautiful surroundings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2011

I sometimes wonder how dedicated tourist resorts like Nature Heritage manages to keep up the spirit of the staff. Tourists keeps coming and most often stay for a night or two. Nevertheless the polite staff does everything possible to make the guests feel comfortable and at ease. Astonishing.

Great food and jeeps too.

“A bit buggy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 June 2011

The resort probably would have been okay if it weren't for the bugs. It wasn't this-room-is-dirty kind of bugs but more this-room-is-not-sealed kind of bugs. They all hide during the day and then come out at night when you're trying to sleep. I was dive-bombed by beetles, and ants crawled across the bed when I was in it. These were actually the tamest of the bugs. There were several wicked-looking, unidentified bugs of a few inches long that made regular appearances. Some of those were dive bombers, too. If you don't mind bugs, read on.

The room itself was quite spacious with a very nice sitting room attached to the bedroom. The room was a little dark, but the sitting area had lots of windows, so it was very nice during the day between your morning and afternoon safaris.

The safaris themselves were nice, though I did not get to see any tigers. I did see lots of birds, including peacocks and a couple of eagles, wild boar, lots of deer. . . The resort arranges everything, so it's no hassle. The resort is a good location for entrance to the park.

The food was okay. I don't care for Indian food, so this is actually a compliment. It's kind of a weird mix. A little bit Indian, a little bit westernish that helped me be able to find things I could eat.

If it weren't for the bugs, I'd be willing to go back here.
