Although we spotted a tiger just once, the place was fantastic for the price and the food could not be faltered. Staff were incredibly helpful and did everything they could.

make sure you do the fort hike and check the temple out - the views are incredible.

Bandhav vilas is not something you expect in the middle of Indias most beautiful tiger land. Though the rooms, amenities and staff is in place it lacks a soul. Being just moved back from London we have been moved by how Indian tourism works, the hospitality has been on top of the world. Large walls as you entering in and really big oversized halls, just puts you in a low. The upside is the rooms, very nice and clean. We had to pay very high sums for our beer and drinks, almost 10 times the market price, we felt that the place is majory overly prized for what it has to offer. We had a nice driver, we were promised a naturalist but never got one, the driver showed us 4 tigers but didnt speak a word of English. There was a large photography group staying there and their attention was always there, we were given second status felt insulted for the first time in our own country. Most hardware is great, guys get a soul. People travel not for rooms, they are soul searching

The accommodation at Bandhav Vilas is in cottages each with its own front and back door and patio area. It was really a home away from home. The grounds are well maintained and the pool is clean. The staff were friendly yet professional and nothing was too much trouble. They were genuinely interested in our stay and always asked each time how our trip to the national park had been. Each time we had been to the park they welcomed us back with smiles and fresh, cold face towels. Meals were good, breakfast was excellent. Lots of little extras were done to help make our stay even more pleasant eg when the evening became cool at our outdoor dinner table the staff brought over a portable fire to keep me warm. Guests can choose whether to have their meals inside or outside. The staff were so attentive and it was all really appreciated. I would recommend Bandhav Vilas to anyone. I would love to go back there again.

I started planning my trip to India last January. I built my entire itinerary, studying maps, reading carefully "my trip companion" Lonely Planet and booking everything on the web. Bandhav Vilas was the most recommended Hotel in Bandhav Garh in all travel magazines and of course Trip Advisor. Manish, the owner, who was extremely helpful and kind since the very beginning. I must say that this Hotel is one of the best places I ever stayed at. Beautiful area, exceptional service, great food, very nice rooms, clean grounds. And most of all, a special and unique atmosphere, so hard to find in most places. The way my safaris were organized I was amazed they were all just amazing
