From the second we arrived (6 o us) we were made to feel so welcome. Throughout our 4 day stay in January this year, all the staff really looked after us.
We had coffee and biscuits in our room at 5.30am, breakfast on return from safari, lunch on the lawn, early evening snacks around a camp fire followed finally by dinner; none of us could move after 4 days of feasting. Hot water bottles and blankets were ready for safari at 6am, which were much appreciated in the very cold mornings.
Between morning and afternoon safaris we sat around on the lawn drinking beer and relaxing; the temperature around 70 degrees.
The grounds of the Tiger Den are superb, the trees and shrubs are labelled and varied. The rooms are cool on arrival, however the oil filled radiator and hot water bottles at bed time made it cosy.
We were extremely lucky to have 10 tiger sightings in 6 game drives, we were fortunate to see a mother and two large cubs kill of a wild boar.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the Tiger Den to anyone who wanted a great base to see tigers. Overall we feel the staff enhanced out trip and there is no doubt that they are fully committed to make their guests feel welcome.
