“Nice place for a weekend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

This place is good for a weekend trip. It's on top of a hillock and not a hill. The best thing about this place is the Neemrana management has tried to keep the old feel of a small fort intact instead of doing too much renovation, which is good. The staff is non-intrusive and good. The food is good but not great of course. We didn't like the homemade ice-cream. The thing that can be bit boring is there's nothing much to do here. We saw a swimming pool being built here when we went in September last year. In the evening, a couple of Rajasthani singers came to perform local songs but during the off-season time, there weren't many people staying there. It was also very humid and the rooms can get very hot during summer so most of the time we were inside our rooms to escape the heat and humidity. The drive toward Kesroli is fantastic especially if one taxes EXIT 10 from the Gurgaon expressway and continues straight. But avoid this road if your car has low ground clearance as there are umpteen number of back breakers here. So better to take left from Dharuhera then. Overall, a nice place if you want to laze around but not for those seeking some activity.

“Romantic Getaway!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

This place is perfect if you are looking for that cosy, lonely, relaxed weekend getaway when you do not want to see too many people, do not want to do too many things and basically just relax with that special someone. We stayed at this place for 2 nights and everything was perfect! However since there is not much to do, the place is not recommended for families with kids as they may get bored! Also, the food could be improved upon too!

Room Tip: See a few rooms if available before deciding the one that you want!

“Good one night stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

Again, an impromptu trip.
Great roads all the way from delhi to kesroli, ajmer. Nice, hidden in a corner, cozy place, though wee bit small to be called a fort. But truth of the matter it is a fort, anyway.Good staff, non-overbearing. There was also a nice traditional song and dance program in the evening (am not sure if it is on the weekends only). In the midst of fields in a good silent hamlet...... could hear the village buzz, evening aarti in the village, birds chirping all around. If u Want to relax....this place is nice. Really Nothing to do....no room tv either. Watch the sunset, sunrise. just sit in the garden, sip tea.
But i guess more than 1 night , 2 days would then start testing your patience ( but depends entirely how patient you are and how much u want to slow down!!!!). food was a bit of a let down...coz only buffet system and no local/traditional rajisthani recipes offered.

on the whole.....good one night stay for us. came back happy and relaxed.

“Excellent experience!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

I was slightly apprehensive about this place because of some of the reviews I read. However, we decided to give it a go to take advantage of a long weekend. The property and staff were excellent. Upon arrival, there are some pretty steep steps to climb but when you enter the main gate, it's a beautiful site to see the courtyard and the trees. There were several rooms available so I asked the staff to show me a few rooms to help me decide. I was traveling with my husband, parents, mother-in-law and 2 year old son. Several of the rooms were nice - we finally chose a suite and an adjoining room next to the TV lounge so that the little one would have room to play. There was another couple with two kids in the room opposite ours, and the kids had a great time playing together.

I went on a round of the property and saw all the rooms. Some nice rooms are on the first floor, and if you're traveling with older folks, I'd suggest staying away from those because the steps are a bit steep and can be hard to do the up-down.

Food was very good. I had dal-bati-churma as part of our first day's lunch. And must have eaten 5000 calories worth. Dinner was also nice. Breakfast was simple.

Staff were friendly and attentive. There isn't a calling system so we had to go outside to call them from the staff area. If you're in a room that's slightly away from the staff area, not sure how it will work to call staff.

Only con for me was the bed in my room. Not sure if I was tired or whether it was the bed, but I didn't have a restful sleep.

Overall, we had a great stay. Well worth the visit. I wish we could stayed longer but there was no room availability for the following nights so we could only grab one night. So peaceful. So relaxing.

Would highly recommend if you're looking for a weekend getaway from Delhi. I'd definitely like to go back. A classic Neemrana experience for us.

Room Tip: suites are very nice and pretty reasonable.

“Good resort but average rooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

We had an awesome time in the resort but rooms were average. My mother had to change her room twice I finally we moved her into Tota Mahal. Ambience was nice and the food was great. They can improve the evening entertainment.

Room Tip: Hariyal and Tota Mahal was great - try those
