“Excellent Honeymoon”

We visited the Akka Antedon in Beldibi, Turkey for our honeymoon. We had a wonderful experience in Beldibi. We enjoyed the delicious food at the buffet and at the a la carte restaurants. For a very minimal booking fee you could enjoy as many a la carte experiences as you liked. The staff was very friendly and wanted to ensure you had the best possible stay. We spent a day by the beach in a cabana. It was a superb experience - comfortable and great service! We mentioned to the hotel that we were going to be there for our honeymoon and enjoyed something special each and everyday of our holiday to celebrate our marriage. We had a spectacular time. We enjoyed some time at the spa and loved the experience.

In the time that we were there, it was considered winter and therefore there was no air conditioning, despite the 30-35 degrees Celsius. We found the room quite warm during the day but the breeze at night made it bearable.

“Wonderful place”

The hotel was wonderful my room was amazing, can't believe the size and just for me! The spa massages were out of this world especially the hot stones. One not to good is the main restaurant in the evening, not enough variety and the hot dishes ran out. Spent most of my nights eating a la carte which was delicious. Booked to go back in April, went in November so a lot of the outside places were closed.

Room Tip: Corner rooms were the best and not the first floor

“A Very Good Stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2011

Akka Antedon is located in Kemer, Turkey which is a 30 minutes drive to Antalya and an hour drive to Antalya airport. The hotel is built next to an elementary school on one side and a fishing outpost on the other. This hotel is very popular with Russian and German tourists as well as Turkish business people attending conferences. My wife and I stayed 7 nights in November, Turkey winter season. Akka Antedon is situated on a beautiful piece of property in front of the Mediterranean Sea. We had a huge room on the 2nd floor facing the sea and watched the gorgeous Mediterranean sunrise every morning. The room decor is very outdated, including the TV. The plus side was that everything in the hotel is very clean and the washroom and shower work quite well. The beds were comfortable, pillows a bit thin, we requested extra pillows. Services were very good. The hotel has a huge dining room for everyone. We loved breakfast the best with simit (Turkish bagels) freshly made every morning in the stone oven. We must say food at lunch and supper was disappointing, becasue most of the buffet food was a bit tasteless with much olive oil except for the kabap and the desserts. Turkish tea was good. Akka Antedon is a huge hotel with a beautiful library, large bar and lounge, and it is a kids friendly hotel with kids oriented pools. The beach is stony, quite tough to walk on. We had a conference rate of $55.00 per person per day including all meals. Since the hotel is quite a way from Antalya, we saw people booking separate sightseeing tours. We did book a quick tour to see old Antalya, which was worthwhile. Overall Akka Antedon offers adequate accommodation and it is a good value if you can get a decent rate with all the meals included.

Room Tip: if you want to see the ocean and the sunrise, ask for a room with balcony from the 2nd floor up on t...

“Very nice hotel for the family”

We've been to Antedon in August for 15 nights. Yes, it was a bit long vacation for staying at the same hotel, and we've thought that it would be boring; but surprise, it turned out to be one of our most wonderful holidays, and we (especially our 3 years old daughter) didn't want it to end.

I will not go in deep details. Wonderful sea and seaside, very nice food, excellent and spacious rooms (we've been upgraded to a suite without extra charge), great animations and day&night activities, and most importantly, a very nice kids' club which keeps your children busy and happy all day long (thanks to the talented animation team of the club). I strongly recommend this hotel, if you have kids.

“Not bad, if you like the all-inclusive thing”

A big hotel, filled primarily with visitors from the ex-USSR, with some stragglers from the middle east and Europe. Tuborg beer and non-brand spirits available all day, I couldn't imagine the bedlam if there were no kids . But there are, and ours really enjoyed the place, swimming all day, and lots of ice cream and cakes. What more could they want? The food was ok, big buffets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but I always find with these kind of meals that I end up with something like a dog's dinner on my plate. We were upgraded to a suite for some reason, and we were happy with the space and ac, service, etc. I have never been to a place like this before, and it wouldn't go there except for the kids, but overall we were happy enough. Some people said that there should have been more activities for the kids, as I said I don't have a frame of reference for these types of resorts so I can't comment, but there were was a dedicated team of childminders working until about 6pm,
