Stayed a couple of nights at La Botica and had a wonderful time.

The rooms are spacious and very clean, and the views over Vejer and beyond are excellent (make sure you get a rooftop view room).

There is a gorgeous courtyard with a tree within it, where you sit and enjoy a lovely continental breakfast. There is wi-fi, but it only works in some of the rooms so you'll just have to enjoy the courtyard area if you want to get online!

As it is perched above Vejer (but within easy walking distance of everything), if you have a car you need to park in the main square and walk up (about 5 - 10 mins). You can drive to the door of La Botica if you feel adventurous; I did this in a little car but would not recommend, as the smell of the clutch aftewards was not pleasant!

All in all, a lovely little hotel in a beautiful town.

OK there's not much to see when you show up - a locked door and a phone number to call (heaven help you if you don't have a roaming phone), but call the number and a really nice English speaking young woman appears and lets you in to one of the nicest places you could possibly stay at in Spain. Decent sized spotless room with a view to die for. Huge comfy bed (a real double, not two singles rolled together, which roll apart at inconvenient times). Unlimited breakfast - lots of fresh tasty food. No parking whatsoever, so you better be a mountain goat. Wifi doesn't work in the room (those ancient thick walls mess up RF really bad) but there's a little table & chair where you can park your lappy in the courtyard, no not a big issue. Would book this place again in a heartbeat.

We so enjoyed our return to this little hotel perched on the top of Vejer on the Costa de Luz and can wholeheartedly recommend a visit.Rooms are spotlessly clean and a good breakfast included.The owners could not be more accommodating.Of course we will be back!

We booked ahead by e-mail. It's a small family run hotel and staff are not always there in person. It's a little difficult to find as it is on one of the narrow streets in the old town. You have to park in one of the free parking areas and find your way there. The hotel has an open courtyard where breakfast was served . The rate was 60 euro/ night for two and that included breadfast. Staff were helpful and the town was delighful!
