“Perfect location for Disney on a budget!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

Have stayed in this hotel twice, both times to visit Disneyland Paris. Val D'Europe is only 1 stop away on the train from Disney and this hotel practically has its own entrance to the train station. This time we went as 2 couples and stayed in a quadruple room. It was perfect for us. Plenty of space for the sofa bed to pull out too. There was a kitchenette which would be perfect. Lots of cutlery and plates, glasses, bowls etc. It is a 2 min walk to a bakery and bars and shops in the little complex of Val D'Europe and 10 mins walk from the massive Val D'Europe shopping centre where restaurants are open until midnight. Val D'Europe is perfect for a cheaper alternative to eating in Disney land and staying very close by.
The only negative thing is that the receptionists will answer the phone or serve someone they know in the middle of talking to you. Not very professional but not very important.

“Perfect for a visit to Disneyland!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011

We stayed at Residhome whilst visiting Disneyland in December 2012.

The first appealing thing about this accommoation, is that you literally walk out of Val d'Europe station straight in to the doors of the place. It simply does not get any better than that for convenience!

The staff were friendly and very helpful. It really provides a 5 star hotel experience in terms of the ground floor front desk and lobby area.

The apartments themselves are quite large. Make no mistake, these are apartments and not merely rooms. The kitchen was fully kitted out (with the exception of a cork screw), and we were able to cook meals every night. There is a huge shopping mall less than 5min walk away, with a Tesco type supermarket.

There are 2 TVs, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. Both are equipped with Cable, including English speaking channels.

Wifi username and passwords are in the room. Connection is free and at a good speed.

Bathrooms and kitchens are modernised. The shower/bath is very spacious!

We did have occaison to use the laundry room. You pay €5 for the key, and when you get down there there are two washers and dryers. Perhaps a bit pricey.

A lot of the reviews here seem to criticise the cleanliness of the rooms. You must understand that because this is a self service apartment, nobody will be changing your sheets and towels every day. It really is up to the previous person staying there to clean up. Our apartment was not perfectly clean, but we didn't really care - it was functional.

In terms of getting to Disneyland, trains run from Val d'Europe to Marnee Valley Chessy every 10min or so. The train trip there takes about 8min. It is about 8km, so a bit far to walk.

All in all, a great choice at a great price!

“STAY AWAY!!!! Worst Place I have ever stayed in.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2011

IF, you do end up staying here. Make sure you LOCK away things that are important to you. The "cleaning staff" is out there to clean you out NOT the rooms. They are pretty close to be professional thieves. I reported my incident to the hotel staff but they did not seem to care. If anything happens to you, file a police report immediately. They may not be able to do much but at least you will scare them a little.

The hotel staff is not friendly as well.

The only good thing about this place is that It is one station away from Disneyland.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else.

“Good Stay but Be Careful!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2011

Stayed for 5 days in Aug-Sept 2011 with other 28 people from our tour group.
The hotel is so far away from the city , but only 1 station to Disneyland Paris.

Highlights of the hotel:
- Supermall nearby with clthing stores such as H&M, Zara, Mango, etc + my favorite of the mall is the super big Auchan supermarket which open late till 10pm.
- La Valee Village Outlet mall just next door of the mall, if you're lucky you can get a very good bargain of branded stuff.
- Kitchen appliances (microwave, small fridge, stove, dish-washing machine, and utensils) is provided at the hotel, so we can buy some frozen food at the supermarket for food supply :)
- WiFi Internet connection provided. Speed is not consistent though, sometimes very fast but some other times very slow.
- RER train station is only step away from the hotel.

Hotel is not that clean, when we arrive we have to wipe the dust from the cabinet before putting our stuff.

NOTICE:
Please please please be very careful in Paris, even at the hotel.
My friend got his postman bag stolen when having breakfast at this hotel. They are very fast and work in group. My friends was taking some food and give his bag to his wife. Then one man aprroached his wife, showed something and ask whether its hers, then one of their friend took the bag away.
There are CCTV camera at the breakfast area but they said that it's not working and we can only see through the lobby CCTV. After we file a complain, the hotel then put a security at the restaurant on the next day.

All in all, I had a great stay.
I might go back only to visit Disneyland or the Outlet Mall. I prefer to get a hotel at the city center.
