The staff is friendly and welcoming... The food at the restaurants is
delicious. Not to mention the serenity and peacefulness of the place....
You leave refreshed and re-energized thanks to a big choice of
treatments you can always have at the wellness centre....
We suggest to visit Chianti Area...
I would definitely go back again....
Villa La Borghetta is a great quiet and luxury hotel in the middle of the Tuscany Region.
We stayed in a suite with a terrace with a great view to the Tuscany fields.
Pros: The suite was very nice and spacious decorated with a good taste. The bathroom was very comfortable and had a big jacuzzi.
The personal of the hotel was kind and friendly
Cons: Wifi was only available at the reception and it was expensive
The restaurant for dinner is a quiet expensive
And the personal for the standard of a 5 star hotel was insufficient.
Summing up, if you are looking for a very nice place where people are friendly and you do not like hotels with a lot of personal around you this is the perfect place to stay visiting The Tuscany!!!
We stayed at this hotel for 4 days during our honeymoon trip through Italy and while the rooms were clean enough and the property was pretty it definitely did not meet our expectations. The location is not ideal, the town of Figline is not like staying in a small chianti town or even a winery closer to the middle of the region. The hotel itself was very sterile, the staff with the exception of one conciere was cold and impersonal. The restaurant was not to our liking and again the wait staff were so distant it was bizarre. The property itself was nice enough but felt like it had been great at one time. When we were there we were one of 5-10 couples and it's not a small villa. Had we not paid full far upfront we would have definitely gone elsewhere for the remainder of our stay.
We stayed in Villa La Borghetta in August 2011 for one week.
Overall we were quite satisfied. The hotel overlooks the beautiful Tuscan countryside.
The room was fine and so was the swimming pool.
The only downside was the rather impersonal service. Nobody of the staff seems to realize (apart from the chambermaids) that they could also show some genuine interest in their guests.
It is also surprising that you are charged € 5 'covering/coperta' for every dinner despite having booked half board.
