“Amazing hotel in Tuscany”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

Villa La Borghetta is a great quiet and luxury hotel in the middle of the Tuscany Region.
We stayed in a suite with a terrace with a great view to the Tuscany fields.
Pros: The suite was very nice and spacious decorated with a good taste. The bathroom was very comfortable and had a big jacuzzi.
The personal of the hotel was kind and friendly
Cons: Wifi was only available at the reception and it was expensive
The restaurant for dinner is a quiet expensive
And the personal for the standard of a 5 star hotel was insufficient.
Summing up, if you are looking for a very nice place where people are friendly and you do not like hotels with a lot of personal around you this is the perfect place to stay visiting The Tuscany!!!

“There are far better places to stay for the money....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days during our honeymoon trip through Italy and while the rooms were clean enough and the property was pretty it definitely did not meet our expectations. The location is not ideal, the town of Figline is not like staying in a small chianti town or even a winery closer to the middle of the region. The hotel itself was very sterile, the staff with the exception of one conciere was cold and impersonal. The restaurant was not to our liking and again the wait staff were so distant it was bizarre. The property itself was nice enough but felt like it had been great at one time. When we were there we were one of 5-10 couples and it's not a small villa. Had we not paid full far upfront we would have definitely gone elsewhere for the remainder of our stay.

“Good hotel but a bit impersonal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 August 2011

We stayed in Villa La Borghetta in August 2011 for one week.
Overall we were quite satisfied. The hotel overlooks the beautiful Tuscan countryside.
The room was fine and so was the swimming pool.
The only downside was the rather impersonal service. Nobody of the staff seems to realize (apart from the chambermaids) that they could also show some genuine interest in their guests.
It is also surprising that you are charged € 5 'covering/coperta' for every dinner despite having booked half board.

“Chianti holiday!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2011 via mobile

The overall Hotel experience in Chianti was the best during our 12
days in Italy. The staff were very helpful, polite and professional.
Our dinner at the restaurant was voted #1 by all four of us traveling
together which included Rome, Florence and Siena. Our room was a great
size (deluxe double) and the amenities were more than sufficient. The
location was close to everything yet quiet for an enjoyable breakfast
outside.
The views from the hotel are breath taking  The views were spectacular
from the Terrace Bar.
We fount the hotel reasonsbly priced and quite comfortable. I loved
the pool on the roof for afternoon ralaxation
The signs in the town for the hotel location made it much easier for
us to find.

“nice but without a soul”

very good food at the hotel's restaurant and also the service there. a nice and clean room. but...the service at the reception was cold and very poor in details for example: we had not been informed that we had to reserve a table at the hotel's restaurant so we found ourselves in a dark corner and not in the main nice room of the restaurant.
the general attitude was very distant .in addition we found out that we had to pay extra money for our dinner because there are some courses that you have to pay more money if you order them. we want to mention that we took a halfboard package and thought that all(beside drinks) was included no one explain that to us ,and it is hard to understand it from the menu.
