Stayed in Hotel Les Bruyeres only because there was no other hotel near to where we needed to be because everything seems to close in October. Easy to get to from motorway after arriving at Biarritz airport. First impressions were the hotel lobby etc was clean and the staff were friendly. DIdnt use the restaurant because it closed at 10.00pm. When we arrived back in the evening at 10.30 we were treated like children not paying customers, the girl on reception was a bit abrupt and kept telling us to be quiet and we really werent that noisy! The room was clean albeit very basic and so was the bathroom. The sheets and pillowcases were pristine but the pillows (although lovely clean pillowcases) were smelly and sweaty i couldnt sleep at all most of the night, pillows are so cheap so i suggest the management change them often as they were only fibre filled and not expensive ones also the bed itself again the sheets were spotless but the mattress cover and mattress itself were smelly even if the mattress cannot be changed frequently i think the mattress protector could have been. Breakfast the next morning was okay for 9 euros although they didnt cater to the English breakfast loving people at all and it was complete chaos in the breakfast room
