What a wonderful setting next to the river and furthermore walking distance to the town centre. This hotel is very well maintained & I found the staff very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were absolutely spotless and the food offering certainly met with our budget.

My wife and I had a really enjoyable stay at this wonderfully situated hotel right beside the river Waveney. We were joined by some friends and sat down in the conservatory overlooking the river, which was floodlit. We ordered some food which arrived promptly by courteous and polite staff. The fish and chips was the largest and tastiest piece of fish I have ever had on all my travels. Very good value for money! The room was very interesting with ask beams and a well equipped and large bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back soon!

We normally visit about once or twice a year and there is always something that does not meet my approval. On this last occasion my drink was taken away before I had finished. I brought this to the attention of the staff but it just fell on deaf ears. Perhaps I should reduce my infrequent visits.

Superb rooms and location and the bar staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us- thank you. Some grumpy front of house staff and management, which was a shame.
