We stayed in a motelroom at Pers resort for the weekend. The motelrooms are really bad looking, the bathroom is old and looks dirty, the beds is hard and used for too many years. The room was also cold as the hotel had not turned on the electrical heating after the summer season.

So the motelroom really sucks - the only good thing about it was the price as we ordered last minute - only 1205 NOK for 2 persons, 2 nights incl breakfast.

The hotel is perfekt for families with small kids, especially the swimmingarea. A bit boring for adults though. The price for dinner at the restaurant in the hotel is REALLY expensive - 450 NOK per person (adults) and you have to pay for the drinks as well. The food is good, but not worth a 500 NOK per person.

The reception was very severly understaffed. When we arrived there was a toxic agressiv mood among guests milling around waiting to check in or out. Room was ok, but had ventilation making a local storm (and noice). It could not be turned off. We told staff who did nothing. Several lightbulbs in our room needed changing. The bathroom door - once closed - could only be opened by a dedicated adult male. Everything costs extra. Fitness room (Euro 6) had a blown fuse, so most equipment did not function. The hotel has an aquapark (Euro 12). It is for children, there is no swimmingpool! The hotel was quite clean until sunday morning when all floors were covered with a sticky layer of old beer. The hotel is a mix of eighties style and norwegian folklore.

The plusses: Very, very good beds. Excellent breakfast. Good dinnerbuffet. Free WiFi.

We had a great time. Especially the children! Tropicana Badeland (waterpark) with two long slides, wave pool and more is just perfect for children. I t was also childrens disco in the evening. We enjoyd the food and service. We stayed in a big family room. I can truly recommend Pers Resort and Gol.

Its nothing nearby so travel instead to Geilo- 30-40 mins by car
the hotel is back to early eighties and the rooms are filthy its a sleep and wake up and go by car further hotel
