“A luxurious lodge in a lovely location, and the premier place to stay in the Uists.”
We took the wrong "track" down to the Lodge, as the road signs are confusing, and the approach is not via the Locheport road, which is on the other side of the loch. However, the occasion did not seem as "timeless", as the location suggested, and we felt that the staff we unnecessarily prescriptive about the timing of breakfast on a Saturday morning in the Outer Isles.
With an imaginative playground area for young children, and a network of paths and walks in such a beautiful area, there was plenty for families to do, and Lochmaddy was only a quarter an hour away by car.
