This was our vacation after almost 18 months of very hectic professional period. So we were very much looking forward to this vacation. And indeed we were so content at the end of it.

Honestly I am not able to find any faults with this place. The food, the service, the Bar, the Spa, The staff and last but not the least the location............its just so soothing.

I also checked a few places around like Poppies, Buri rasa, Centara etc but definitely Amari scores by huge margin over these hotels.

I will definitely recommend this and in case we visit samui again this is the place where we will be staying.

Way to go Amari Palm Reef...keep it up

We enjoyed another ten day break here and as before found it perfect for a relaxing holiday .
the rooms are a good size and very well equipped, even down to a beach bag.
breakfast is a really good international buffet with something for every taste.The Thai buffet twice a week on the beach in the evenings is first class and the transformation of the beach area looks fantastic. the staff in all areas are very helpful and professional and of course smiling !This is a good 4 star hotel which provides good clean service and value for money.
The location towards the far end of Chewang beach is great as its quiet enough to feel you have got far away from everything but close enough you can walk to the other end of the beach and town where all the shops bars and restaurants are. Many good small restaurants close by on the beach front too.

We arrived at this Amari Hotel after spending the previous 5 nights in the Amari at Koh Chang and boy did the quality of room at koh Chang spoil us. I was already aware from previous reviews that the superior roooms have a small bathroom but how can a superior room in two Amari Hotels be so different. We were taken to our room which was on the beach side of the property behind reception ( only 28 rooms beach side ) 1st room by road facing neighbouring hotel. The bathroom was very small with a shower which is open straight onto the basin area, this definitively a one person at a time bathroom!!! The patio overlooking a garden area was very dark and damp which had a staff footpath leading to an office nextdoor. and very busy with mozzies!
Staff were very friendly and helpful when we asked to change/upgrade room and showed us a deluxe on the other side of road, but we could only move for two out of 5 nights so we stayed put. All in all we had no traffic noise being close to the road, we just did not use the patio.
Breakfast had a great selection but a little disorganized with staff walking you all round the restaurant looking for tables, after passing many ready made up!!
Free WIFI was available in Bar@C which had 30% off drinks 1200-1600 and a happy hour 1700-1800 buy one get one free deal ( Thursdays 1700-2300 )
Great location of resort a small walking distance to the busy Chaweng and excellent restaurants available along the beach either side of the Hotel.
Resort has two swimming pools either side of the road, sunbeds are reserved by guests very early. Some beds remained reseved most of the day with no one using them, if only the Hotel used its own 30 minute rule!!! its just a shame that some people feel the need to reserve beds and then don`t use them.

We have had wonderful vacation experience in Koh Samui. And the hotel Amari Palm Reef really exceeds our expections. Very good location, kind staff, lovely room and great swimming pool! Professional kind service with Thai traditional! My friend and my family really enjoyed staying here. Thank you very much!
