“wanna get away?”

off the beaten path, but has a great beach, nice food and drink and a great staff! Very laid back..if you want night life, loud music, and shops galore this isn't the place for you ...but if you want to relax and unwind,,it is a great place to go for..
Rooms are dated, but i understand they are doing a renovation this year..
Nice Restaurant, and marina..Beach is a 5 minute walk but well worth it..water beautiful.
Dive Master on site...

Room Tip: Have single rooms, and large full service suites.. Singles are small but ok

“This resort has the most beautiful beach I've seen, Ever!”

My husband and I visited this hotel back in July. After reading the reviews, did't have high expectations at all. Saw great rates on Expedia.com that we could not pass up, less than $100.00 per night for a property on the beach, Why not? When we checked in, we received a very warm welcome by the Front Office Staff. Got to the room and there were double beds instead of a King. I called the front desk and the changed it instantly without a problem. We had a number of other challenges with the new room, at one point you could hear the sound of, "WHAT DO YOU WANT AGAIN" in their voices.I feel the Front Office Staff could have handled us with more empathy. Being a service trainer, I see where they lack problem resolution skills and would recommend this to management. The room was a bit dated, but the grounds were nicely kept, there is a large convenient Store on Property, a restaurant, Police Station and Bank in the area. You can even rent golf carts to get around. The restaurant on the property was too pricey so we decided to venture out in our Rental Car to see if there were any native restaurants in the surrounding area. There were two restaurants about two miles away on the main road (Cant remember the names but you could get a dinner for less than $15.00). Thought this was a good find.On the second day of our get-away we decided to visit the beach which was just across the street. As the sand caressed my toes, I instantly thought, I have never felt anything like this in my life. The sand was of-course warm, but the grains were so fine, it felt like powder White in color and it sparkled in the sunlight, literally. This was by far, the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. Ever! Just looking at the breath taking view, all other negative experience pales in comparison. If you want to find a place where you can marvel at God's creation, this is it!

Room Tip: No rooms are directly on the beach but there are marina view options which are priced higher.

“Off Season Value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2011

We stayed here in October and found the resort to be an exceptional value; about 40% off the high season rate. Treasure Cay Resort is a great option for a visit to the Abacos. A bit isolated, but this was one of our goals on this trip. The beach is beautiful, vast, and unpopulated. Resort occupancy was light so restaurants, pool and other amenities were readily available. The onsite restaurant, Spinnakers, offers tasty menu choices and excellent service. We would recommend multiple visits during your stay. Choosing the Deluxe Suite is worth the extra cost -- additional space, full kitchen and outdoor balcony area. However, be willing to confront stairs.

Patrick, the general manager, goes the extra mile to welcome guests and directs a very capable and friendly staff, which makes for a pleasant and relaxing stay.

The resort offers conveniences such as food stores, cafe, car or cart rentals, and even a post office. It is a short short taxi ride to the Green Turtle Cay ferry dock or Treasure Cay airport, but we found it more convenient and cheaper to rent a car (Triple J rental on site) when we caught the ferries out of Marsh Harbor.

The only inconvenience was spotty internet service in the suite, but you can purchase access from an island ISP or walk to the Tipsy Seagull and check email over a Bahama Mama. Neither are terribly bad options.

Room Tip: Opt for the Deluxe Suite if you plan to prepare some meals or desire the spaciousness of two levels.

“Good if you are a boater”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2011

I stayed here with my husband in May 2011. We won a free 4-night stay here. Unfortunately, it didn't meet expectations, however, it is on a more remote island, so the amenities would be more difficult to come by I suppose. We had a 2-level suite. There were ants when we first walked into the door, so we went to the small convenience store to get some ant spray, and then never had a problem afterwards. The fixtures/furniture seemed very old and in need of replacement. The tap water tasted/smelled like sulfur. The view of the harbor from our balcony was nice. There were a lot of boaters around. I think if you were cooped up in a boat for a while, this resort would be a welcome relief. Everyone was nice, and the area seemed safe. The food was overpriced, but so was everything in the area, again, because of the remote location.
The best part of the resort was the beach, which was beautiful, quiet, and picturesque. The people were very nice. We took a snorkeling trip out near Green Turtle Cay, which seemed to have a much nicer town. It was a very relaxing trip, but won't be back.

“Great place for annual girls trip”

Rented 2 one bedroom units facing the marina. Short walk across the path to the grocery, liquor store, car rental, laundry, bakery, beach and beach bar. Wonderful long beach to walk down and everything available. Had some great day trips from here, including fishing boat rental from the marina, Hopetown, and Green Turtle Cay.

Room Tip: Well-equiped kitchen, but wish they would have had Tupperware and bbq grill
