What a wonderful place to stay with excellent accommodation and really friendly owners. Christine is anxious to please and is always attentive. The meals, both evening 'tasting' diner and also breakfast were of the highest quality with most of the food being prepared and excellently cooked by Christine.
The Relais is positioned in the middle of the highest quality growing region for Cognac (Grand Champagne) and is thus a perfect base for exploring Cognac town and the local producers. The converted farm building have been completed to a very high standard and the accommodation is excellent. We would recommend the Relais de St. Preuil to anyone.

My wife and I had a great time at this place. It was our first visit to Cognac, and Jean-Luc and Christine treated us as friends, and were very helpful in explaining local history, culture, etc. They speak very good English which was a big deal for us because we don't speak French. The hotel was recently renovated and is very quiet and clean. The food was outstanding, like in top rated French restaurant. We took 3-day cognac tasting tour which was organized by Jean-Luc, and it was excellent. We visited local producers, tasted a lot of fine cognac, and learned a lot about cognac production. I rarely say that something is perfect, but this time I rate it 10 out of 10. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is interested in cognac tasting or just needs a place to stay. It's worth every penny.

Stunning hotel, very clean but lacks ambience and atmosphere, staff seem to regimental as well, not as relaxing as I would have liked, the room we stayed in was upstairs too so not ideal for young children, was ok but won't be returning.

Lovely location and beatifully renovated buildings. Travelled with 1 year old so was great to have use of kitchen for guests to prepare baby food. Owner run, very friendly. Food was great too.
