After trawling the internet for a short break in the area, this looked to be a good choice and so we booked for 2 nights. This hotel more than exceeded our expectations, the photos cannot capture the warm but unobtrusive service, the tranquility of the location and surroundings. Dinner was in a perfect, romantic setting looking down upon the lake and surrounded by the alps. The food being the cherry on the cake, wonderful with great service, champagne and wines. There were a few other couples staying at the hotel (it's only 9 bedrooms so not going to be crowded) but lots of locals came to the restaurant for lunch and dinner which is always a good sign. We stayed for three days and didn't leave the hotel, relaxing by the pool inbetween meals! It's not cheap but certainly good value if you are looking for this sort of hotel break. A well managed, excellent, unique hotel with individual charm and great food - lots of superlatives but well worthy of them all!

We stayed here in July on their "Romantic" package - 2nights accommodation, 2 breakfasts and a dinner for 2 in the restaurant - the food was so good we had dinner on the second night as well and paid extra (around €125 - for a 3 course meal with wine).

This is a great informal hotel with only 9 bedrooms. We stayed in Room 5 which was a Prestige room that was a mix of antique furniture and bright modern art. It looked out onto the pool which you could access directly from the room. Other rooms overlooking the gardens or mountains may offer a little more privacy.

The restaurant was really excellent - the food outstanding and the service relaxed but very efficient.

The location of the hotel is what makes the experience truly unforgetable. Dining on the terrace at night you have unbroken views of the lights of Chambery, Aix and Lac Du Bourget .
