We stayed 5 nights in this hotel. The pool on the roof was great, but we did find that it was diffcult to find a sun-bed, even late in the afternoon, because people would reserve them even when there was no sign of them being around. The hotel was lovely and provided thoughtful touches like a welcome gift of biscuits and chocolate and water. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The food was good for buffet style food. Valle Gran Rey is rather challenging to reach, and anywhere that you visit the up-hill climb has to be negotiated. We were at this hotel in the middle of September and everynight the sunset was spectacular, one could sit on the balcony or on the front and watch the sun sink below the horizon. It is a quiet resort, just the sort of place to chill out.
