This was our 2nd stay at the Ermitage de Corton, and we went back for a reason. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the vineyards of Burgandy and a short drive from the lovely town of Beaune.

All the staff are so friendly and made us feel very welcome (hence the return visit). The restaurant is excellent, great wine selection & service. Worth a visit even if you don't stay at the hotel.

We stayed in a room at the top of the main building which was clean, plenty of space and comfortable.

A lovely hotel that we will most definitley visit again.

Excellent location to break a trip to Calais from Italy: just off the A6 (literally - a busy road runs right past the front of the hotel).

Had the 'Superior Suite' with a double bed room, and two singles in the 'living' room... The suite was very large, but everything had an air of the 80s - aged designs, and some oddities (no switch for the light in the toilet, for example). Very nice terrace, looking out over the sunset, although the noisiness of the road tempered how pleasant that was...

Free WiFi, but only at dial-up speeds... Almost no sound-proofing between rooms.

We ate in the restaurant, and had two €49 prixe fixe menus for the kids, and two at €65. The food was OK, but nothing more - certainly nowhere near worth the price. Without a built-in set of customers, hard to imagine this restaurant surviving as a food-only destination. The waiting staff worked really hard, but as they were the only people working in the hotel in the evening, were too inattentive.

Breakfast was poor, and understaffed. Not worth the extra cost at all.

Ermitage de Corton is the perfect stay in the middel of Bourgogne. Close to Beanu and with
a very nice view over the wineyards.

Very lovely inn, surrounded by vineyards. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. Owners and staff intent on making our stay pleasant and comfortable, example -- recommended restaurants and called ahead not just for reservations, but was surprised to find that they had advised that one of us was a vegetarian. (Made ordering easier and some restaurants prepared special veg meals.) We had lots of questions about the area and they had lots of anwers. If we are lucky enough to vacation in the area again, we will stay there again.
