We've spent three nights here leading up to a week-long villa rental on sister island Nevis. Rooms are clean, housekeeping friendly. The wee coffee pot and instant coffee supplied was perfect for me to get a first cup as the sun rose each morning along with our porch overlooking the island. We appreciated the two complimentary drinks, and had appetizers at the restaurant attached to the inn. We LOVED the plethora of on the beach restaurants just steps away. We ate in a different one each lunch ($10 average) and dinner ($25 including a Carib or two). Food has been outstanding with lots of local veggies and plentiful servings.
Beds are a little dated, and our king size is two twins pushed together. AC worked fine though we only used it sporadically, mostly to provide white noise over the Reggae from the beach bars. (Worked great and we slept well).
Snorkeling just off the pier really great with coral, sea fans, and good variety of fish around the corner. (we brought our own gear). The beach is so accessible though there are day trippers from cruise ships that arrive via taxi.

Room Tip: My daughter stayed in a mountain view room. Very comfy.

“Relaxing 2 weeks”

This was a great base to explore the island from. Better to higher a car if there are two or more of you as taxi fares though set for most destinations are expensive. Beware short taxi journeys are twice the price. Timothy Beach and the Strip are really lovely but a trip to Cockleshell and Friars beaches are a must, just be prepared for a bumpy ride, as the roads are in need of some investment. Check out the food at the Reggae Beach bar on the far side of Cockleshell, monster and yummy. Food at the hotel restaurant is good and the staff are friendly. Though they may appear to have that caribbean surliness you can make them laugh fairly easily. The beach bar is a great place to meet people in a friendly relaxing atmosphere before and after dinner. For currency better to take stirling and change to EC dollars out there. Everywhere takes US dollars but this hikes the price as things are always rounded up.

Room Tip: Sea view from higher floors breathtaking in the morning and at sunset

“Comfortable Island Experience”

I stayed at the Timothy Beach Resort for two nights after a week at the Four Seasons on Nevis for a business trip. On my own dime, I prefer the lower rate and lower level accommodations that Timothy Beach offers.

Upon arrival, someone helped me with my luggage, which was nice, as there was a medium length walk to my room with some stairs involved. I upgraded to a beach view room, and it was large, with a nice deck. I had no problems with hot water - it was always available - as opposed to some comments other guests have made. The light and fan in the bathroom were noisy, but that was the only thing that bothered me about my room. The bed was comfortable, even though the pillows were a bit firm for my taste. It was quiet enough in my room for me to go to bed pretty early each night.

There is a nice selection of bars along the beach by the hotel, and tourists and locals alike were enjoying the water. I took a cab to Cockle Shell Beach based on the recommendation of another visitor, and enjoyed a day spent there. Great swimming, and some more bars and restaurants to enjoy.

You can actually walk to the Marriott if you choose. After seeing it and having breakfast there one day, I prefer the low-key vibe of Timothy Beach. In summary, I had a nice stay, and though it's not fancy, it's in a good location for enjoying yourself on St. Kitts.

Room Tip: Spend a little and upgrade to a water-view room. The decks are great.

“Average hotel, great location”

We enjoyed our week-long stay at Timothy Beach Resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect. The beach by the hotel was nice, but not as nice as some of the other beaches in the area. We liked that it was close to a lot of good restaurants and beach bars, and we didn't find it too noisy at night. Our room was nothing fancy, but it was clean and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the large balcony. We had a breakfast and a dinner at the hotel's restaurant, and both meals were very good. I would recommend staying here if you're looking for a no-frills hotel close to a beach and good food.

Room Tip: I suggest getting an ocean view room because the view is better and more private and the balcony is...

This is probably the best location in St Kitts.
The hotel is on the beach, close to many beach bar/restaurants.
The sea in front on the hotel is safe to swim in at all times.
This compares with the Atlantic side ,where the Marriot is located, which is rarely suitable for swimming.
Good snorkelling is right next to the hotel.
The hotel overall is clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The food is good. The Dock bar is the best around, and an ideal place to wait and wait for the elusive green flash!!!!!
The atmosphere is Carribbean.
However if you want "little America",or a casino, then best you go to the Marriot, where you cannot swim in the sea or snorkel. You will never see the green flash from the Marriot!!!!
This is relaxation Carribbean style.

Room Tip: Sea view are best, with sunny balcony.
