Business friendly hotel with professional staff, close to waterfront and excellent base for excursion to Ephesus.

We were leaving on a late afternoon flight from Izmir and decided we would travel back from Cesme and have an overnight stop in Izmir so the transfer was short but smooth to the airport. The hotel organised a transfer that took us to the airport in plenty of time but it was the attention and helpfulness of the staff at the Beyond which made this a most welcome stage on our holiday rather than just a mere airport stop over. We had a deluxe room (one on each floor) with a connecting standard room for our kids ti share. A rollaway bed was provided without any extra charge. The hotel is in the heart of the pleasant Konak district and arrangements can be made to use the pool and hamam at the nearby Swissotel. Breakfast was fresh,ample and relaxed. Rooms are a mix of roccoco over the top mirrors and bedheads with smart, functional desks and equipment. Bathrooms are small but well equipped and with very efficient showers and jacuzzi bath . Within walking distance from seafront cafes and restaurants. Try the nearby Deniz for a good fish restaurant only 10 mins walk away.

from the 3 till the 6 of september 2008 i stayed at the beyond hotel. the hotel is very clean, all staff members are very friendly. they will help with all you ask.
hotel is only 4 minutes away from the boulevard so you can have a nice walk and see the harbor of izmir.
food was good, and all the floors are in a different coulor style. very nice. free internet on the room.

if you need shuttle transport to the airport you have to ask in advance otherwise you have to pay a taxi.

A boutique hotel near the water, Beyond has a sober but sophisticated décor of burnt orange and dark wood. The rooms are large, with a decent desk area for working, ethernet and wireless connectivity (free) and - even in the single rooms - a jacuzzi. Not bad for €100. The feel is inspired by (lifted from) the Starck/Shrager hotels, but they pull it off handsomely. Staff are friendly and helpful, and entranced if guests use the occasional word of Turkish. A nice touch is the platter of nuts, raisins and stuffed apricots delivered to each room. The restaurant (No 5 Café) is entirely missable - though not overly expensive, the food is routine.
