“A wonderful home from home lodge in a beautiful setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 August 2011

My wife and I spent 5 nights at MBL and we so enjoyed ourselves that it was sad to say goodbye to Howard and Ruth who treated us like family. The rooms are tastefully furnished with feather beds, and the most gorgeous robes. Breakfasts were varied and scrumptious, and the evening drinks in the library around a cozy fire were memorable. The Lodge overlooks an extensive lawn and the Douglas Channel, and is situated in a truly beautiful setting. We would highly recommend MBL to anyone staying in the Kitimat area.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 4 which overlooks the Douglas Channel and lawn, and would highly recommend the roo...

“"Lovely Setting by the Bay"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 July 2011

Host and Hostess go out of their way to make the Lodge a pleasant place to stay. Very nice breakfasts, refreshments, and bathroom amenities. However, beware of two things: bathrooms are shared, and mosquitoes are plentiful inside the Lodge. All in all, a lovely, quiet place to stay.

Room Tip: We had a corner, 2nd floor, end room that looked out over the bay and mountain views.

“Paradise on Earth - Truly Stunning”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 March 2010

We have stayed at Minette Bay Lodge numerous times. The Lodge and its setting is without any exaggeration absolutely stunning, set beneath British Columbia's Coastal Mountains, with the gardens leading to down to Minette Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Internally and externally the quality of the property and facilities is five star. The area provides some of the best skiing and fishing (especially salmon fishing) in the world, with hiking and bear viewing in the surrounding wilderness. In summary, the location is magnificent, the accommodation faultless, with delightful hosts - Minette Bay Lodge is one of the most breathtaking holiday locations in the world.

“Breathtaking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 July 2009

An oasis of luxury nestled in the wild heart of British Columbia! Sitting in the hot tub with cold beer in hand looking out across the croquet lawn to Minette Bay with seals poking their heads above water and Eagles soaring overhead you feel like a king lording over his kingdom. Howard and Ruth, the charming hosts, organised hiking, ocean fishing, whitewater rafting, golf and scenic helicopter flights for our activity hungry group all of which were great fun and pofessionally run. However everyone looked forward to returning at the end of the day to enjoy Ruth's fabulous cooking washed down with Okanagan wines and Howards collection of Scottish Single Malts. In summary, the lodge is fabulous, the BC backdrop stunning and noone could fail to be charmed by the Mills family hospitality. Highly recommended!
