Well. No compaints here about not being able to have a brew in your room! Who wants to go to Turkey and have a tea/coffe? This hotel is very good indeed, well, the hotel is of a very good standard but attached to the hotel (well, next door) is the club atrium which they have joined forces with which makes it much better to mingle! Both hotels have 2 brilliant and very well kept pools and share a night club, The Cuba Club (which is ALWAYS empty, but is open till 4 for drinking! (I think)). Also within the small "complex" is the Havanna restaurant, which has an outside eating area with a stage that has performers every night while the kids play in an outside adventure playground similar to the places that you pay a fiver for one hour, free of charge (I think), or there is a small football pitch for the older ones at 10TL (about £3) an hour. There are 4 pool tables and a 4 stall market selling DVD's, toys, gifts and Lilo's for the pool (I had one that had a hole for a bottle of Efes (local lager) in it!! The Staff are second to none and cannot do enough for you. They hold games poolside and hand out free cocktails for participants! They are not adverse to be being pushed in the pool fully clothed either! They work by the pool all day and then serve you at night in the restaurant, they work very hard indeed, are extremely friendly and love to entertain. Also at the Club Atrium, they have their own Turkish bath, which you MUST have. You are put in a sauna to sweat and then rub all the dead skin off you and massage you for about half hour, this is supposed to prolong your tan by upto 7 months as you are tanning fresh skin, which means do it early on in your holiday, but not if you are burnt as it can hurt!
This hotel is well worth the money I paid and is good for couples but we are going back next year with the kids!!
PS if you do stay here, go and see "oscar" (or 007 as his friends call him!) at the Muyara travel agent which is next door to the Havana restaurant. He is excellent and one the nicest people we met. He sells excursions and you can go on a full day out boat trip including a visit to Dolphin Island for £7, which is well worth it.
