“Brilliant Holiday, loved the melay and sister hotels.”

Great time at the Melay and sister hotel Sunshine smile which is just over the road. The staff are brilliant, cant do enough for you, the hotel and pool area are well kept, the hairdressing salon staff are great hairdressers they did my friends hair made an excellent job of it . The entertainment is great especially TEA TIME, he comes around about 4 o clock in the afternoon selling his cakes they are gorgeous, watch out for him and his trolley. There ware four people in our group and we all loved it, going back next year. Plenty of shops close by, supermarkets, clothes, bags you name it if they haven,t got it they will get you it believe me. Turkish bath great, not too keen on the turtle island trip though, it was all day and scorching ,never saw a turtle yet, give that a miss if I were you. Icmiler market another great morning out laughed all the time we were there. Highly reccomend the Melay or Sunshine smile and forgot to mention the Melay is attached to the Club Atrium which is where TEA TIME comes around with his cakes. Holidaymakers have the use of all three.

“Dissapointed!...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2007

My family and I have stayed in Marmaris for the past two years, this time being our third. Both times we stayed in Club Anastasia and loved it! My sister met her husband there and the staff arranged a lovely night for them!
However this year we tried a different hotel, Melay, and i'm sad to say we were quite dissapointed for a number of reasons...
The food there wasn't very enjoyable and gave us upset stomachs, the waiters weren't overly helpful and we felt that they had difficulty understanding English! The 'all night bar/club' was horrible, very quiet and dirty, we had to ask for cloths to wipe the tables with ourselves!
The most horrible thing was the cleaning, the cleaners were in and out of some rooms (mine especially) in a flash and didn't actually clean anything! There were hands marks all over the mirrors and dust over all of the furniture! Also the bedsheets had makeup all over them which I know for certain wasn't mine!
In the end we used Club Anastasia in the daytime most days and went there everynight for drinks and entertainment... luckily enough the staff there still remembered us and welcomed us with open arms! All we really did was sleep and shower in the Melay hotel and I wish we didn't of had to do that!!
We will definately not be re-visiting Melay in the future... but it was a mstake we learned from!
I strongly recommend Club Anastasia for a future holiday, it may be a little more expensive than some places but it's everything you could ask for and the waiters and barstaff have become part of the family! Hehe!

“Great time had by all!!!”

Fantastic hotel, anyone headed here is in for a great holiday. The Melay hotel side of the two joined hotels was where we stayed and I could not fault a thing. The room was immaculate and cleaned very thoroughly every day. The pool was a suntrap with the rays beaming down from sunrise to sunset (plenty of shade for those who are not so keen) and ample sun loungers for all. They have pool events on each day to get everyone in the mood provided by the great staff. The staff is my next point they were so friendly and helpful nothing was ever too much trouble, Ozzy and SB entertained the kids while Musa and his team of fab waiters kept the adults in food and beverage as required with always a friendly smile and chat - the entertainment is free and given this is great - shows and Karaoke (Katie and Selim are great) something for all - lastly the area was nice - approx 15mins walk to marmaris mainstrip thiugh buses and taxis are everywhere so easy to get to. The local restaurants were all good though the plank steak at Real Corner Steak house is by far the best. Lastly the weather was a fabulous 40 degrees plus through the day and approx 35 at night so buy the air con!!
Will definitely return here!!!!!!!

“No cup of tea?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 August 2006

Well. No compaints here about not being able to have a brew in your room! Who wants to go to Turkey and have a tea/coffe? This hotel is very good indeed, well, the hotel is of a very good standard but attached to the hotel (well, next door) is the club atrium which they have joined forces with which makes it much better to mingle! Both hotels have 2 brilliant and very well kept pools and share a night club, The Cuba Club (which is ALWAYS empty, but is open till 4 for drinking! (I think)). Also within the small "complex" is the Havanna restaurant, which has an outside eating area with a stage that has performers every night while the kids play in an outside adventure playground similar to the places that you pay a fiver for one hour, free of charge (I think), or there is a small football pitch for the older ones at 10TL (about £3) an hour. There are 4 pool tables and a 4 stall market selling DVD's, toys, gifts and Lilo's for the pool (I had one that had a hole for a bottle of Efes (local lager) in it!! The Staff are second to none and cannot do enough for you. They hold games poolside and hand out free cocktails for participants! They are not adverse to be being pushed in the pool fully clothed either! They work by the pool all day and then serve you at night in the restaurant, they work very hard indeed, are extremely friendly and love to entertain. Also at the Club Atrium, they have their own Turkish bath, which you MUST have. You are put in a sauna to sweat and then rub all the dead skin off you and massage you for about half hour, this is supposed to prolong your tan by upto 7 months as you are tanning fresh skin, which means do it early on in your holiday, but not if you are burnt as it can hurt!

This hotel is well worth the money I paid and is good for couples but we are going back next year with the kids!!

PS if you do stay here, go and see "oscar" (or 007 as his friends call him!) at the Muyara travel agent which is next door to the Havana restaurant. He is excellent and one the nicest people we met. He sells excursions and you can go on a full day out boat trip including a visit to Dolphin Island for £7, which is well worth it.
