spent two nights at Scandic Jarva Krog in (or better say) not far from Stockholm this September and I strongly advise anyone against this place. I was travelling with my grandmother and a 6-year old daughter and I asked for an extra-bed. When we arrived the bed was there but not the extra towels. When I called for a towel the reception guy asked if I minded coming and picking it up myself (which was a good 5 minute walk as we were put in the far wing of the hotel). The bathroom was smelly and there were no other toiletries except for some kind of face/hair/hands & body wash with very strong (and in my mind unpleasant) smell. I understand this to be a part of a Scandic environment protection program but I still think they could use something with a more neutral smell. The hotel public areas look shabby with a floor board missing here and there and suspicous yellow stains on the ceiling in the play room.
The only hotel restaurant served one third of the dishes from the menu on Sunday night provided there are no other dining options nearby. We had dinner with a friend and when I asked the waitress to make two separate bills she said it is impossible.
Besides, the hotel is pretty far from the train that takes you into town though it could easily be reached by taxi.
I have always had very high opinion of Scandic hotels but this stay was rather disappointing and I do not think I will ever stay there again.
