My family of three plus my mother stayed here(The Sole Apartment) in Mid-October 2009. What a wonderful, beautiful, clean apartment. This apartment was more-like a modern farmhouse. All brand new inside with everything you need for your stay. As one other person mentioned, it is out of town a few kms, but in a perfect rural setting. Get your supplies at the Coop grocery store in Tavernelle, and you will be set. Large refer, freezer, etc. I recommend exploring the backroads nearby as well as taking a Ballon ride with Stephano from "Balloons over Chianti" - we did it for our tenth anniversary and it was wonderful. Host was great. Also: don't drive into Florence, park in Tavernelle, and take the bus in/out; easy, cheap, no hassles. You can buy bus tickets at many local shops/bars. We will stay here again!

Our extended family (8 adults, 3 children and a baby) occupied both the Luna and the Sole apartments for 7 nights. Everything was as expected and even better. Rooms and kitchen were very well furnished. It was probably the hottest week of the year (up to 37 deg celsius) so the air conditioning was a great help. The swimming pool was superb. The price we paid was exactly as quoted with no hidden costs addons (Electricity, final cleaning etc').
One word of caution though: the apartments are located few kilometers from the address shown on the web site outside the village of Barberino. When Filippe takes you to these apartments upon arrival, watch the road carefully so you will later be able to get there by yourselves.

We stayed at the Antica Pieve for three nights in late March/early April of 2008....we arrived very late and had to call the owner to let us in, which was okay since it was a Sunday at 9pm...he recommended a restaurant in town for dinner (which was fantastic)...the room was large and very clean and pretty comfortable...however, the breakfast was VERY lacking - very little was offered in the buffet. At first I thought it was because we were the only ones staying there at the time...but other people checked in the last night and breakfast remained the same. The owner was very nice, but we only saw him when we checked in and the morning we left...would have liked to try the restaurant but it was not open while we were there. The experience wasn't bad at all, but there are so many options in Tuscany that next time we will try somewhere else...

Stayed one night whilst travelling around Tuscany and Umbria. The rooms were beautiful and the terraces and swimming pool were excellent. We enjoyed an excellent evening meal in the hotel's restaurant. Breakfast was a little disappointing, however the Tuscan's do not go in for huge spreads. Would definately recommend anyone to stay.
