When I booked I read reviews that were not that good.
To my surprise the hotel was excellent. Rooms clean, tidy and kept that way by excellent maid service.
Food was excellent - buffet for breakfast and evening. Food warm and tasty and included some Greek delicacies.
Reception staff were polite and nothing was too much for them.
Hotel situated 100m from beach and swimming pool area is cool and inviting.
Overall brilliant holiday.

We were a little worried about going to this hotel after reading the reviews but noticed the bad reviews were mainly from family's with children, this isn't an hotel for them there is nothing for kids but if u want a quieter holiday (no screaming kids) this is it.

We went here with another couple but was very surprised when we got there that they had given us a family room between us we asked for seperate twin rooms with balcony we went straight back to reception and was told no other rooms available till morning it was 2am so my husband and i slept in the small beds, next morning back to reception still no joy this went on untill 2pm when i rang the thomas cook resort there and then straight after that call a lovely room was found for us and we were given a free safe normally 10 euro's.

The rooms where cleaned everyday and clean towels also, free aircon, and the fridge worked all the time all though no water or pop in there which is normal when i have done all inclusive before, the food was good for a 3 star hotel breakfast-eggs mini sausage, bacon, beans, and bread, also continental
dinner-always salad choice, fish, meat, pasta, and fruits, ice cream, some sort of flan or cake
the food was lukewarm but when in a hot country who wants a red hot roast dinner.

the waiters were freindly and the daytime barmaid katarina was wonderful couldn't do enough, we hired a car she gave us advice on where to go she's an asset to the hotel unlike the miserable bar maid in the evening don't know what her problem is, no manners,or smile, and at one time told us we could only have two drinks one for me and my husband couldn't get a drink for others that were also all inclusive, she needs to go on a customer service course.

We went into heraklion just a bus ride away which is an experience, lovely harbour there, and shops and resturants, we went on a boat trip to zeus that was lovely.Theres a great bar near the hotel turn left its the first one very friendly and cheap strong beer which u don't get at all inclusive, buy a few sronger ones from the shop to start your evening off.
This hotel i would recommend if u want a quiet relaxing holiday as a couple and make ur own entertainment which we were lucky some lovely english couples there with us so we all got together in the evening but if u want lively loud music and games and need to be entertained then go to the other side of heraklion.

Room Tip: higher rooms seem to be better and less noisier

“Very good value for the money paid.”

Clean, spacious room. Bathroom clean, good shower with good pressure and hot water.
The food we thought was nice and varied. Sweets abit samey each day. Pool (daytime) barmaid lovely and friendly but the evening barmaid was miserable (I'm being kind), could say worse.
You definatley need a car to see the real crete. We went on the 'train' ride, turn left at the hotel and you will find it, which took you to a nunnery and a local village which was lovely.
On the whole not a bad hotel and we thought not as bad as some say, there could be improvements like evening/daytime entertainment and a evening bar maid who has some people skills would help the image.

“I am currently in the hotel now!”

Good lord alive it's awful! The staff are great. They are very friendly and welcoming. The manager is quiet but reserved that's OK but the owner who I tried to chat with is the most arrogant idiot I have come across. Where to start! For one thing everything is to a very tight budget from the food to the bar. The beer is TERRIBLE! Advice here: Buy some tins and bring those in because the stuff served here wouldn't even make the grade for water and fizzy beyond belief. Heartburn city! The pool bar is staffed by one who is rushed off of her feet but she makes a real effort and is very friendly. If only the owner showed some appreciation of his assets! The inner bar is rubbish! Major queues every evening so if you do get a drink get 3 because you may be waiting a long time. The hotel is currently mostly Russian and Polish. They are OK if a little pig headed at times. The rooms are OK. It's not a grand hotel but the cleaners work very hard and there's no complaints.
The FOOD! My GOD it is horrible. They clearly cannot cook and the serving area stinks oddly of wet dogs. Each and every meal is like a zoo with people crammed in to a tiny eating area. The slop served is no more than prison food in fact had you served this in Dartmoor prison there'd be a riot. The general feel of the place is one of downward decay. A real shame because the staff are very friendly accept the inner bar girl. She is the most ignorant and miserable person I have ever had the misfortune to say hello to!
I went full board but my advise is half board IF you feel like a prison break in a grotty hotel. the owner is too tight to understand the damage his none spending is doing. All the drinks are the very cheapest he can buy and they are all bar none disgusting.
If you come here, and I advise don't, then eat out for the love of God! Go down the hotel entrance turn left and the first bar you come to is friendly with great food and good beer. Excellent prices to!
All in all a bot of a mistake I have to admit and no I wouldn't ever think of spending more than 1 night here and I have 1 night left to endure!!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room that has a card type entry other than the big 15lb key fob I have. The rooms are bett...

“Good value for half-board”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2011

As a young couple we stayed half board for a week for £370pp

Room- Nice big spacious room, recently refurbished so smart, bathroom was looking a bit tatty and tired and the fixtures were a bit rusty but it all worked perfectly fine. Air-con was a big help and the balcony was lovely to sit on in the evenings.

Hotel-Bar service takes forever, big queues, but we weren't all inclusive so it didn't bother us too much, we bought our own drinks from the shop round the corner. Pool nice, bit hot for us as there was little breeze but suits some, there was plenty of shade by the trees.

Location- Just a short 10 minute walk to beach, which was the best bit of the holiday, it was nice and breezy to keep cool and you could get a good deal on sunbeds if you ordered a drink for the day (6 euros got you two ice teas and two free sunbeds). The resort was a bit quiet when we were there, probably because it was the end of the season, but plenty of bars along the main street, have a good walk to get the cheapest drinks.

Food- Let's just say the dining experience was a bit chaotic. Dinner was like a zoo, tables all squashed together and generally felt very rushed and hectic. The food wasn't brilliant but you're not going to starve, at least there was plenty of fresh salad and melon. Would recommend eating out a couple of times. Didn't even bother with breakfast because it wasn't my cup of tea...dodgy cooked breakfast option, salad option?, watery fruit juice, no croissants or pastries.
