I stayed here for 3 nights before headed to Dubrovnik. This property is very beautiful and modern. I was upgraded to a corner suite with an impeccable ocean view! The gym and swimming pool are very well equiped. The restaurants are very high quality. I highly recommend staying here for a few days before you head out to the islands!

We stayed at Le Meridien for 5 days and had a great time. The hotel is gorgeous, especially the pool by the sea. The beach where the hotel is located is a pebble beach, but that didn't seem to bother most people as there were plenty of people in the sea. I preferred to stay by the side of the pool reading and drink cocktails! There are restaurants nearby but they are pretty average and quite overpriced, I would definitely recommend going elsewhere. The main bad thing about the hotel is that it's fairly distant from the town. There is a shuttle bus but it can take quite a long time, especially if there is traffic. Service was ok, we found service generally bad in Split to be honest, most people just seemed rude. One guy selling ice cream even pushed us away with his hand because we took a couple of minutes deciding what flavour we wanted, and there was nobody else waiting!
A couple of small things:
1. We booked a seaview room but we could barely see the sea through a fence from our room. We decided to just let it go so not sure what the hotel staff would do if we had complained.
2. We left the breakfast card out on the door one night as we had an early star and wanted to eat before leaving. The next morning we found the card had not been taken so I called room service who apologised and quickly prepared our breakfast.

Place that keep coming back and I feel like at home.Every year I come several times and always comes back with a smile :-)

This summer I have spent few nights in this hotel, with two different groups. The rooms are very spacey and if you are lucky you would get the room to be booked in the block overlooking the port, with beautiful charter yachts right in front of your terrace. Restaurant's buffet is one of the best in Croatia and the service was very good too. It's privilege is to be so near to the city yet so far from the port, thus having possibility for a swim in Podstrana which is a real delight. This hotel is ideal for leisure and business, even in October.
