Hotel is situated ca. 7 km from Split. It is nice peaceful place, but near main road (can be a bit noisy)...
Small family run hotel, I like hotels this size, but I think that owners need to think about how to refresh furniture e.g. and invest in main building. We staid in hotel (main building) and you can feel like stale air everywhere... In room, restaurant.... New next building (annex) look much better outside.
Staff is friendly, especially receptionists. Restaurant staff can be a bit more smiling, but they are also fine.

I have just arrived home from a most enjoyable stay at Hotel San Antonio where I spent 1 week with my sister. We found the rooms clean and spacious (we were staying in the Hotel Gala annex) no sea view however this did not concern us as we were not spending much time in the room. The bathrooms were cleaned daily and were faultless. The breakfast was adequate - tea, bread and jam, fruit, sausages, eggs etc (had to ask for ketchup though!!) The restaurant menu was limited but when we did eat there it was nice - there is a lovely restaurant next door though (much cheaper!) The staff were brilliant from the receptionists to the chambermaids - all very polite and friendly. The bar staff were great, very friendly and funny all with fluent english (can make a great jaeger bomb!!!!) All in all we had a brilliant holiday and I would highly recommend Hotel San Antonio.

The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that the rooms had a nice sea view, were comfortable and there was a big TV. There is nothing else to say. Don't let their website fool you like me!

Just on the area, Podstrana. This is approximately 10km from the centre of Split, about 140kuna in a taxi. There is a bus service, but I don't know how often it runs. There is nothing to do in this area. It is not a resort. We found one excellent restaurant under the Le Meridien Hotel (which is where you should stay if you do decide to go) which is about a 10 minute walk from the San Antonio. This was the best food we had in Split and Hvar, so if you do go here then visit the Leons restaurant.

The San Antonio hotel: bathrooms are see through to the bedroom (not good for families), the balcony doors in our room did not lock (and the manager/owner did not care either), towels were all hard and the maid didnt clean the room, just made the bed, walls very thin so could hear the neighbours full conversation. The breakfast was awful (milk cartons on the side for cereal, cereal all over the table cloths, meat which looked off, hot food which looked like it had sat there all night etc). Dinner - based on breakfast did not bother. The gym was a box room with old machines and only the running machine worked, the bar by the pool was not open and the spa was a room with a treatment bed and CD player. The beach area was just sun beds on the stones with some unmbrellas - which were extra!

Just avoid! Go to the Le Meridien if you want to stay in this area. We wish we did.

We were staying in the annex of the San Antonio Hotel, which is called the Beach Hotel. It only has around 10 rooms and we were occupying 3. Our room was right on the beach, in fact small pebbles beach, with a big terrace. The room itself was very nice, spacious, nice bathroom, clean and modern decoration but cigarette's smell was very strong. The staff was really helpful and nice with the children, the restaurant's food was good and price reasonable.
This is a nice and convenient place to stay, only 10mn drive from Split, right on the seaside, with a friendly and easy family atmosphere.
