“Relaxing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2009

We spent 10 days in Pilalidis hotel and we had quite a relaxing holidays. Apartments (rooms) are small, but since we spent least of our time in the room it didn't bother us much. The garden is absolutely beatiful and the pool was also sufficient for relaxed swimming and teaching our doughter to swim. The place is clean and there's a lot of parking places around the hotel. I can recommend it to anyone with one child or a couple.

“i loved it”

we stayed here for 2 weeks and found it to be one of the most relaxing places i have ever stayed. yes the studios are small but they are perfectly adequate. the hotel gardens are beautiful and the pool area was really peaceful and had a nice little pool bar that served reasonably priced food at lunch times. we also used the hotel bar a few times in the evenings as this was quite quiet and reasonable. the best part of our holiday was strolling down to the sea front which is only a few minutes walk and is pretty flat. ther are loads of restaurants on the sea front and we ate in sifferent ones each night. there was not 1 that i wouldnt return to. i loved this place. it was perfect for chilling out and it was a great base to get out and about to, we did some good excursions

“A bit disappointed...”

I have been to Pefkohori 5 or 6 times and have always enjoyed it. We haven't stayed at the Pilalidis before and thought we would try it as it has generally good reviews - and Kosmar were offering a week for £209.

Yes the gardens are lovely and the complex well cared for and nice and quiet - but the studios are tiny. More a room than a studio. We spent most of the week bumping into each other! The furnishings and decor are fine but storage is limited. The beds were clean and comfy but due to lack of space I had a single bed wedged between a tiny dressing table at one end and the fridge at the other! Handy though for night time refreshment! The balcony was big in comparison and well furnished and the air con effective.

Location wise the studios are at one end of the village so it's a bit of a hike to the quieter end of the beach which we prefer although the main advantage for us is it was a hop, skip and a jump from FAROS bar which is run by 2 friends of ours so convenient for the post-evening stagger home. There was also plenty of parking around the perimeter.

We had a great holiday but I don't think we'll stay at the Pilalidis again as Pella Studios and Aellos both offer bigger rooms and are more centrally located.

  • Liked — Lovely gardens, quiet accommodation, good aircon, good cleaner!
  • Disliked — Smaller than average rooms

“Pleasantly surprised”

We stayed at the Pilalidis Apartments last week which we booked through Thomas Cook. We booked the holiday as a cheap week away and although i had done some research and the pictures of the hotel looked nice we weren't expecting much as we only paid £180 each. My first impressions of the hotel we that it was a relatively small, family run, freindly hotel. It was very clean and the gardens are absolutely stunning. The apartments are a little small and basic but clean and good enough for two people sharing. All apartments have balconies which is nice to sit out in the evenings. We had the sun on our apartment for the first five hours of the day so we sunbathe and relaxed outside our balcony rather than sitting by the pool. The pool is very nice although not that big - bit enough to have a swim in though. Location wise it's perfect for young to middleaged couple in my opinion. It's generally quite quiet on the apartment complex but the beach is only a few minutes walk (there are bars, shops and restaurants there) and the town of Pefkochri is about ten minutes by foot - a pleasant stroll. Overall we had a really lovely holiday here. If you don't mind the apartment being a bit basic so long as it's clean and you planning on eating out in the evenings then i would definetely recommend these apartments and may even return there myself in the future. Any questions i will try to help......
