We were driving true Salta province and arrived late in Cachi without any reservation and no internet. We drove past various hosterias, but they looked unattractive. Based on a roadsign we looked at hosteria aca and were very surprised.

Location: very good, if you want to visit cachi or surrounding parks.

Rooms: very confortable, large and clean. Power outlets accept EU plugs :)

Breakfast: basic but fine to start the day.

Dinner: very nice.

Wifi: free, only in public areas, but with good speed.

Conclusion: highly recommended if you are visiting this part of salta and you need a stopover.

Somewhat to our surprise, this place was nearly empty when we visited in December, and we got an excellent discount on the list price for the room. (We came with no reservation, on a circular tour up from Salta to visit various villages.) The ample swimming pool is in a stunning location, overlooking a valley; the rooms are wonderfully large and comfortable; and the staff are hard-working and pleasant. I really can't fault this place at all. I didn't give it perfectly 'top marks' for location only because it is perched above the town, somewhat, which means that you will want to use your car coming and going, even if it's only a two-minute drive to the plaza. It's a lovely little town, well worth a visit; and for the combination of value and comfort, the ACA can't be beat, I feel fairly certain.

So far, on our 5 month journey through South America, this was the first time I truly felt "ripped off". Other than a spectacular aerial view of Cachi, this hotel had mostly negatives for us. The staff were the only salvation as friendly and helpful. For a considerably lesser amount, this hotel could rate much better. The rooms are outdated & in need of repairs; the food average; wi-fi only available in the lobby & dining room with few power outlets; it's quite a walk from the bus depot & the square; and the camping area in front had all night music & parties the two nights we stayed. I'd recommend booking into the many cheaper options in Cachi, you're not getting anything better here for the extra cost.

We originally wanted to stay at the El Cortijo, but is was fully booked so we just crossed the street and checked into ACA. It was a very good choice. The rooms are very nice and although we did not use the pool, it looked good. From the bar terrace you have a very good view over Cachi. The only downside is the breakfast, which could be better.
