Progresso and the extended area of Merida is fastly becoming one of my favorite places in Mexico. During a trip in mid January 2006 while staying at a somewhat run down beach front hotel on "el Malecon" or the seaside pormenade I met a couple from Canada who told me about the Los Cabos. Turned out to be GREAT advice. Los Cabos is very new, very clean and the helpfulness of the staff just can't be matched. The rooms are each suites complete with kitchens and colorful tropical furnishings.

If you go ask for Jorge. The man knows the area and will help you in any way possible. During a recent stay I found my jacket had some how been torn. In speaking with him he said he thought his aunt could sew it up. She did an outstanding job on it.

Not only would I stay there again... I will. My wife and I will be there again in late Jan. 2007. Will post photos when I return.

it was my first time in progreso...the hotel manager was very helpfull and charming.he even took the time to take me around town in his car,,the studio i lived in was very clean and quiet,nice room with t.v. and air-conditionned i felt at home in this little suite...nothing fancy but very comfortable..i will surely go back..thanks Richard
