Family owned hotel, extremely difficult and often unprofessional. We visited from New York to attend a friend's wedding (the groom was from nearby Armissan), and all the hotel guests for this wedding were told to stay here bc they had shown the bride some great rooms and the hotel had guaranteed those larger rooms. Instead we received a tiny room on the ground floor, with the only entrance a glass door to the parking lot, with 2 twin beds pushed together. The service is truly terrible. We had asked for more towels as the ones we used upon arriving late the night before were still wet, and they questioned us extensively. One day, the maid took all the larger towels, leaving only small ones, and when we asked again, the female proprietor argued with us before reluctantly giving us more, asking "Why? You're taking them to the beach??" Which was offensive and unnecessary, as we truly hadn't even been to the beach and didn't have larger, only small towels in the room. They were also unwilling to replace toilet paper - as the toilet paper roll became smaller and smaller, I had to take turns with my boyfriend to ask the unfriendly staff to give us another roll!
The 2 proprietors are seldom at the front desk, and sit in a back room. When you call out, they often seem angry about being disturbed.
Also, the town of Vinassan can be difficult. There is only 1 restaurant in town; an enormous pizza joint owned by the hotel proprietors. If you find yourself hungry at 2pm because you missed the breakfast, you're out of luck as most of the town shuts down between 2 and 5.
A small notice in the room announces that if you leave the lights on in your room, and they come and clean it, they will charge you for that electricity usage.
I recommend staying in Narbonne where there are more choices and better service.
