The Cristall Hotel advertises itself as being in the green heart of Tuscany and shows lovely pictures on its website of the "surroundings" of the hotel. Well, the hotel is actually in what can only be described as an industrial area and the beautiful Tuscan vistas are not within proximity of the hotel. The "view" out of the window of our room was an overgrown lot. Additionally, the hotel is advertised as a B&B on a few web sites. It is not a B&B it is what I would consider to be a motel.

When my wife and I complained at the front desk that the pictures did not represent the hotel we were told that those were in the vicinity and the description is accurate.

If you are looking for the quintessential Tuscan country side experience this is not it. The hotel is moderately priced ($105 US) and relatively clean (the bathroom could have been cleaner)but it is certainly not in the most picturesque area. Also, the walls were a bit thin and you could could hear the neighboring rooms.
