I visited Casale San Lorenzo in July, 2008 for a relaxing week of touring the villages in Tuscanny. My stay was wonderful. The rooms were very cozy and comfortable and the owners were so kind and helpful! There were two other families staying there as well and while we had privacy it was really nice to meet other travelers. I would definately stay here again if I am so lucky to go back to Tuscanny! The location is perfect for taking day trips all over the area! Very close to Sienna! Very convenient to the Florence airport.

Friendly people, clean nice rooms, a beautiful view, a beautiful property with a swimmingpool and a lot of Chianti Classico. Can it be better? No

We have recently returned from a fabulous stay at Casale San Lorenzo in Vagliagli (Siena). The property is surrounded by fantastic views of neighboring vineyards as well as Casale's lovely orchard of fruit and olive trees. Please check out our photos. Casale San Lorenzo dates back to the 12th century. It has been completely restored recently with the utmost respect for its original features such as exposed, ancient beams and terracotta floors. We stayed in two of the villa rooms which are furnished with lovely country style tuscan furniture. The bathroom is equipped with beautiful tiles and plenty of hot water for all of us! There is also a common sitting room as well as a kitchen for guests to use. The fantastic large pool and stone terrace has a fabulous, peaceful view of neighboring olive and grape vineyards. We absolutely loved the owners, Carlo, Sarah, and Francesca. They could not have been more attentive or accomodating to their guests. We felt like part of the family which enhanced our stay even more! I don't think you could find nicer hosts in all of Italy! We unfortunately only stayed for 2 nights, but wished we had the time to stay longer. Next time, we look forward to staying at least one week! The walled city of Siena is about a ten minute car ride away. We loved staying in the peaceful country and got the best night's sleep of our entire trip at Casale. If we had stayed at Casale on the beginning of our trip, we would have never left! I highly recommend Casale San Lorenzo for anyone traveling to Tuscany. The location of Chianti and Siena was central to visiting other lovely cities in Tuscany.
