“Well Placed and Good Value Apartments”

Just returned from a week at the Andreotis Apartments. Although the roadside appearance is a bit off-putting - poorly lit and a bit scruffy - the rest of the property is a pleasant surprise. The pool area is attractive with well tended gardens, very clean and tidy and a good sized pool with plenty of sunbeds. A poolbar and restaurant provide food/drink all through the day and, with the restaurant for evening meals, some of the families with young children didn't really need to venture further afield.

Our room was large with good facilities (apart from an ancient TV with poor reception and only about 30mins of EuroNews/English a day ), and a roomy balcony overlooking the pool and gardens. The room was cleaned every two days when the towels were changed. The kitchen area was more than adequate and included kettle/toaster and microwave, well sufficient for breakfast preparation!

The main restaurants, bars and shops on 'The Strip' were less than 10mins walk, with Fig Tree Bay being another few minutes further on. The excellent bus service - 2euro day 'Rover' ticket - also under 10 minutes walk will take you either to Ayia Napa or to Paralimni operating 21hours a day in the season.

Even though this was the last week of the season, the Staff were friendly and attentive. A very enjoyable holiday.

Just back from spending a week at the Andreotis, and I have to say we had a fantiastic time.

We travelled as a group of 5 adults and I honestly couldn't fault this place at all.

The rooms were spacious enough for us with all the usual amenities you would expect in a self catering apartment, 2 ring cooker, fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave in the kitchenette, along with a dining area.

The bedroom was a good size with adequate storage both in the wardrobe and another cupboard by the bathroom.

There was a spacious pool area, and due to the fact that we were visiting at the end of October towards the end of the season, we had no problems at all getting sun loungers in whatever location we wanted. There were 2 pools, a large one and a children's pool, and both were clean as was the pool area itself.

At the complex, you can choose to dine either at the pool area under the parasols, or in the restaurant area. The food served at the Andreotis is some of the best food we had in our whole time in Protaras and for me personally the best food I have had in any establishment I have ever stayed in on holiday - it's very reasonably priced and of an extremely high quality - they have a diverse menu and there is something there for everyone, and the staff are more than happy to deviate from the menu if you'd like something changed.

Another huge attraction to the Andreotis for us was the staff, the majority of which were absolutely fantastic. One of the barmaids had a right attitude problem, but the rest were absolutely brilliant and bent over backwards to ensure that we, and everyone else, were catered for to an exceptionally high standard - Tasos, Paula, Tanya, and especially Jane from the Pool Bar, who took time out of her busy day to chat to us and make us feel welcome - thanks so much guys!!!

The location of the Andreotis is great, only a short walk from the main strip with lots of bars, restaurants and shops, and there are three convenience stores on the same road as the apartments, so everything is close to hand.

My last point is not about the apartments, but some advice for anyone coming along and wanting to book trips - we only did one, which was to go to Larnaca Market and the Camel Park - The Camel Park was fantastic and I would definitely recommend it as there is lots to do there besides camel rides and it's a localy place to spend the day, however I would look into seeing if there is a way to make your own way to it by bus and bypass the market.

Basically the market is essentially a car boot sale in an arid car park, with people selling a load of old tat - I would definitely give it a miss unless you are looking to purchase some cracked plates, rusty glasses or copied CD's of dodgy 80's hits.

It was €17 for the trip and this doesn't include the camel ride which is an additional €9 so if you want to go I would enquire about getting a bus up to it instead or hire a car and drive there.

In all we had a great time at the Andreotis and in Protaras and I would definitely recommend it to anyone, thanks for a great time guys :)

Room Tip: Email and ask for room 314 as it has a massive balcony

“FANTASTIC!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

We just returned from here on Sunday night, what a fab week we had! Tasos and his wife Paula plus all the other staff are amazing! All guests are made to feel so welcome by them and nothing is too much trouble. And YES Tasos does remember everyones names, I dont know how he does it!
The apartments are perfect, we had a bungalow by the pool, it was spacious, modern and had everything we needed. Only thing I would have to comment on would be the size of the showers, they are very very small but on the plus side were powerful enough and always had hot water (except for 1 night when it had rained, I presume they may be solar powered).
The cleaners were in every day except Sunday and we had clean towels every 2nd day which I thought was brilliant.
The pool area is lovely, plenty of loungers and even better that they had cushions on them which made them extremely comfy and we all fell asleep on them many a time! The pool bar is great and has a happy hour on cocktails 2pm-6pm every day, 2 euros per cocktail, all other drinks were reasonably priced too.
Our favourite part about the Andreotis would have to be the food! It was so fresh and tasty and a decent price too. We ate most of our meals there bar a few but no where can beat the andreotis on quality :-) there is a wide variety of things on menu and between us we maybe got through 1/4 of it, we would have needed to stay a month to sample it all! Fully recommended!
The strip is only 2 min walk away if u come out of apartments and take a left then a right at the lights. Recommended bars on the strip are cheers, ghetto bar, only fools and horses, the greenery, bells, zodiac, the element, sphynx, and hobo. Also nightclun Boogies is worth a visit.
We had a fabulous time and will defo be back next year to Protaras and without a doubt Andreotis!
